• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together.   • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Okay I'm bound and determend to do the Will of God and I was just wondering do any of you suffer with this doubt that am I truly looking towards God and wanting to do what He wants? I'm doing Okay with the anxiety and I'm reading the Word to Please God and to streghthen me and I keep getting this thought in my head what if your just saying it. Well I instead of doubting whether I'm truly seeking His Will. I push it farther and I do more studying and more prayer so is this the healthy way of doing things. I'm not going to let My God down I refuse to let my past run me over... Sooo any advice I'll be glad to hear,,,,,:thumbsup:

You are determined to study God's word to please God and to be strengthened and that is wonderful.I hoe you always stck with this dicision as it will definately strengthen you.Continuing to study regardless of OCD doubts was a very smart move.Since these thoughts mean nothing and the word of God is stronger .So yes Dabro this is a very healthy way to deal with these thoughts .You are definately truly doing His will.Keep up the good work Dabro.
