I don't know if I've shared my considerations of Paul with you before or not, so I thought I would just add a small consideration: I follow the Ebionite tradition regarding him.

i looked up some about this. i find it interesting but need resources to prove the claims true. something worth looking into tho. thanks for the food for thought.

i find Paul to be a tough one to interpretate.

Did you know that of the letters attributed to Paul, that attribution is undisputed for only seven; 1 Thessalonians, Galatians, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Romans, Philippians and Philemon?

jesus didn't write the bible "some man" did. no matter how u look at it all ur reading is man's Word about GOD; NOT what GOD has to say about man. so u can choose to put as much faith in it as u want. the decision is urs.

I have some issues with some of the teachings of Paul, It seems almost everytime I have a problem talking with a christian it is due to something from Paul. Interestingly enough when I was a little boy and first learned about Jesus I was taught to read the bible, a KJV red letter edition, when I was told the red letters were what Jesus said I read the red letters and skipped everything else, I figured why pay any attention to the preachers(Paul was a preacher) when I could listen directly to Jesus by reading the red letters. I would look for sections that had lots of red letters and read them. Having done so many times and remembering much of it I have a problem reading some of Pauls writtings because to me they do seem to contradict what I have already came to accept as the truth.

Its so funny. In another thread we skeptics say that hell was mistranslated from a word that ment grave. we are told that we have to trust the translators.
In this thread we say that paul taught women were second class without rights and the bible believers say no it doesnt mean that. It was mistranslated. Cant have it both ways can we?

True, there's a lot of hypocrisy in the current form of Christianity. They think its OK to just listen to their pastors and not worry about what the Bible or Jesus actually says or said...We all know the contradiction is there. We must really evaluate the Bible for its truth, critical analysis and textual criticism. What's the point in believing if we all believe lies?

I didn't think u could find an infallible truth in contradiction. But that just seems to be my philosophy on things apparently. Bc every SINGLE time I find contradiction people say I have not disproven the Bible as an infallible truth at all. So maybe I am absoltuely wrong. Please provide me with ur definition of an infallible truth and some examples from scripture so I can get a better understanding.

Paul is the foundation for the church as an organization/bureaucracy... Jesus is the foundation for The Church as the body of believers.
