  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Strike???!??!?!

Haha this has been a story for weeks, suprised you're just seeing it now :D Lost has already ended filming, though, so I dont see why you're worried :o The strike won't last an entire year.

You love to mock people for what they don't know.

The writer's strike lasted 8 months. If an actor's strike were to last that long, it would definitely delay filming of shows that typically premier in September and October. Depending on whether they were planning to run Lost in the fall, or in January/February 2009, it could have an impact.

Er...care to explain how? I said I was suprised. I guess we have to tell eachother how awesome we are every post or we get banned these days. :o

No one mentioned banning.

I made my remark because of the comment you made here, but also because in the other thread you mocked someone for not recognizing Claire in Jacob's cabin. The person you said that to had already said he had missed the last two episodes, had bad reception on his television, and a slow internet connection that made it difficult to watch online. Your comment in light of all that seemed really out of line.

You probably don't mean to be mocking anyone. Text often comes across differently than how we mean it. We don't praise and adore each other in every post, though, we're just friendly and respectful of each other. We're a good group of people here, and maybe you just got off on the wrong foot. It doesn't have to stay that way, though.

I hope you'll try to see why we're reacting the way we are so we can all start fresh.
