Sorry? I don't believe the girl was ficticious but because of privacy issues, yes, a 10 year old girl's identity would not be shared.A sensible fine, the medical privacy of ficticious people who are invented to serve a political agenda must be protected.
Haven't you been paying attention to the thread? It's right there in the OP that this story likely never happened and thus should be disregarded.Sorry? I don't believe the girl was ficticious but because of privacy issues, yes, a 10 year old girl's identity would not be shared.
Perhaps I missed a bit of the story tho.
The problem seems to stem from that farcical belief that a girl (or a boy) learning about how their body works, is then going to SUDDENLY become sexually active; As if the ONLY thing keeping them from having sex was the knowledge that not all boys have a foreskin or girls get their period.
They aren't merely "learning how their body works". That's not the sort of thing that teachers would tell each other to "hide" from parents.
That's generally the "tell". If it has to be kept hidden from parents....you probably shouldn't be teaching it.
No I didn't pay attention to the thread. I'm not convinced that it "never happenned" just because there's no paper trails.Haven't you been paying attention to the thread? It's right there in the OP that this story likely never happened and thus should be disregarded.
The rapists was arrested. I hope people aren't still in denial about this matter. No I didn't pay attention to the thread. I'm not convinced that it "never happenned" just because there's no paper trails.
It's a terrible story that shows the impact of antiabortion legislation. Of course some are going to ignore it; I mean, whether this particular story is true or not, it has likely happened somewhere....or it certainly will. The rapists was arrested. Some believe 10 or 11 year old shouldn't have terminated the pregnancy at all. Even though it could harm her body, The potential baby might not make it. She should have been forced to have it, and give up for adoption. That would be horrible for her mental state. But so is that whole situation, that a 10 year old will have to remember. It's a terrible story that shows the impact of antiabortion legislation. Teachers are more trustworthy than parents.
Where?
It's noteworthy that this question should arise in where a mother was proven complicit in the sexual abuse of her ten year old daughter.
The direct answer to your question is "everywhere." Obviously.
In most of the world, even where parents are strictly revered, teachers are even more revered.
That's not by accident or without reason.
Parents are generally responsible for two or three children while given extraordinary powers over them without commensurate oversight and no required training with tragic consequences as detailed in the o/p. Teachers are responsible for all of those kids and the rest of a full classroom at any one time, filled with a large fraction of the entire school as students rotate through for the classes in which the teacher is a subject matter expert.
They are accountable first by their students,
as everyone knows the first time they stand in front of a classroom,
Of course teachers are more trustworthy. They earn it in public every day.
No parent can be held accountable to anyone if they're willing to live far enough back in the woods.
These are objective facts.
In the 1930s it proved useful to direct the anger of German citizens toward racial and ethnic minorities, especially the Jews, and by means of propaganda fostered a society that looked the other way as millions were killed in concentration camps.
It has to be stressed that this is not an indictment of the Germans. It's an acknowledgment of the perils of the human condition, and a caution to always look for who the demagogues have chosen to frenzy the mob against.
Now the mob is being turned against teachers,
painted with the vilest of accusations to the point where "kindergarten teacher" is considered an indictment in itself raising immediate suspicions of the child sexual abuse that is far more certain to come at the hands of parents.
There's nothing new about this.
In the 1930s, Jews were depicted as diseased rats spreading the plague in Goebbels' propaganda.
Today's almost cavalier accusations of pedophilia didn't start with the teachers, either. They started with Podesta's hacked emails and Comet Ping Pong, and #pizzagate, and grew into a more general attack against the Clintons and Democratic party leadership.
From there it's been mainstreamed into the Republican party where their majorities allow them to literally outlaw the teaching of anything that conflicts with their political preferences.
Given the libel I have personally experienced on this website, in addition to the lies being spread about educators generally, I truly want to thank you for this well written response. It's noteworthy that this question should arise in where a mother was proven complicit in the sexual abuse of her ten year old daughter. They are accountable first by their students, as everyone knows the first time they stand in front of a classroom, and then by the parents, and by the school administration and the education departments of the cities and counties and states. And then, they're also accountable to the legislatures.

So it looks like an arrest was made in the case.
Columbus man charged in rape of 10-year-old that led to abortion
Man accused of raping and impregnating child in Ohio is sentenced to life in prison after guilty plea
Gerson Fuentes, 28, pleaded guilty Wednesday to two counts of rape, and was sentenced the same day to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 25 to 30 years, according to documents from the clerk of courts in Ohio’s Franklin County.
The girl was 9 when she was raped, according to a court indictment, and was 10 when the pregnancy was ended last summer.
I guess you did as I did and went back to re-read the thread. Interesting isn't it when we now know the facts. If something contradicts one's view of the world, or at least how they would like it to be, then denying it seems to be the first option in many playbooks. Although, to be fair, it's @BPPLEE's thread and he has actually edited the title to reflect the new information.Note that early in the thread, BPPLEE and RileyG and Ana the Ist and Skye1300 all claimed that the story was fabricated. I'm sure they'll be stepping forward soon to apologize for the false accusations.

And to switch the discussion with a few comments about law and order and 'what about the rapist?' is to ignore the point entirely.
Can you share the post where I said the story was fabricated? I said I doubted the story and the medical professional had an obligation to report it and there wasn’t a report at the time, but I don’t think I made that determinationI guess you did as I did and went back to re-read the thread.
