  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hi, Just wondering if all you people have heard of StormCo. (Service to others really matters)

It's been happening in Australia for quite a few years now... Taking a group of youth to a community to help them out with and run a kids club.

Just thought I should share this as you may find that youth at your church might like to organise their own StormCo trip.

My local church sends out 2 teams of about 15 once a year to smaller remote towns. Unfortunately there are no pics online that I know of.

Here's the official division site regarding stormco:

kewl thanks for that Amiel, and to think that until this year I only thought it was going there to help the community with something they needed help with (ie building a playground, fixing a building up, cleaning a designated area up) and not the kids club. *shakes head in disgrace* I know, I know you've always gotta have a kids club, but back home they always emphasised the "work" side of things you do in the arvos. ;) Oh and the fellowship with each other and the smiles of the locals and the kid's faces.

It must be close to 15 years since it has been here in Australia.
