The way you win people to Christ is by demonstration. People all over this earth are not part of the elect, looking away from God for the answers to hard questions about their life and existence, and no matter how hard God lays the yoke down upon them, they refuse to even consider that God may be true.
What then if they see a believer, struggling in the same way they are, and yet walking with all faith, endurance, perserverance, gladness, kindness, and love, against all that God throws against them. What is more astonishing is that same believer gives glory, honor, and praise to God despite their hardship and trial.
Christians evangelize by example, and by prayer to God, not by clever argument. Paul does speak of the Christian needing sound argument for the defense of his faith, and to speak the word of God wherever he is, but that is not the same as arguing. Afterall, who gives you the grace? Is it by clever speech and careful argument that God finds you worthy of grace? No, and if God gives grace, then why do we believe that debate can give it to others? God gives the Holy Spirit, God gives the grace, Jesus is the saviour of the lost, not man.
