They had no building, and the Holy Ghost never told them to build one.

3000 souls from the entire empire. It was quite clear that they didn't all live in or around Jerusalem.

Acts 4 says 5,000 who heard believed. It doesn't say all 5,000 lived in Jerusalem. There were many visitors in Jerusalem which is why the disciples addressing the crowd in their own tongue at Pentecost is important.

I attend Catholic Church and I abhor the vast amount of money wasted on priest's robes, especially all the stuff cardinals and bishops wear. Too much money is spent on mansions and expensive cars for the church hierarchy. Peter, James the Just and John were poor, they didnt have expensive robes and stuff.

Who is dying from lack of food and clean water? Nobody in America. Maybe third world countries, but that has nothing to do with money, it has to do with corrupt governments. Corrupt governments, excessive taxation, and bribes to overlook crime. People in third worlds struggle to start business because corrupt governments and criminal gangs stand in their way. Aid given to such people in need are often stolen by corrupt governments, terrorists, and other criminals.

Not saying we shouldn't give material aid, but giving material aid will never solve their problem. The fundamental problem in third world countries is moral not financial. Telling other Christians you know better than they do what to do with their money just makes you look like an idiot.
