  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I was minding my own business knitting you know,... and it struck me. Yeah I can knit for people in my family that may or may not be appreciative, but why not knit for people who will. Over the course of the next few days I will be researching organizations that specialize in getting the clothing where it needs to go. I know those of you who knit are under stress of knitting for the family this year, heck I'm jumping back on the knittin horse myself and don't think I'll finish but 3-4 projects between now and christmas realistically(hands gettin a workout lol). If anyone can put in extra stitches/projects great I'm going to start coordinating/directing a few efforts to people who REALLY need it through a few well known organizations.

Is there a local chapter of Project Linus near you? While the main focus is blankets, some chapters also collect baby caps (esp preemie size), booties, sweaters, toys etc. If yours doesn't they may be able to give you contact information about other groups in the area that do.
