It's been a month since I first reported that I wasn't getting PM's. I didn't know it until my friend Michie pointed it out. I have my PM's enabled.....I asked a moderator for help before I even reported it a month ago and he resigned from staff...so no help there. I decided to post here for help and it took a long time before anyone even acknowledged me (I guess reps being maxed out is more important). Anyway, I have since filed a complaint and am now submitting a new ticket hoping someone will finally look into it. Not only are the PM's not working, but I keep getting logged out even though I have the box checked saying to keep me logged in.....I never had a problem before the changes in May. Could someone please look into this? Thanks!

Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey SirAdrian! It appears that ~Karin~'s PM problem might be limited to only Michie. I've sent her a PM with my sock account and she confirmed that she received my PM and another PM from someone else.
Michie, if you read this, can you please send a PM to my sock account, PezGirl1973? I don't know exactly what it will accomplish.
We did fix ~Karin~'s logging out issue - I believe that to be an issue with Safari and vBulletin rather than specific to CF. I've had issues with Safari with every vBulletin site I'm a member of.

Now, I have a stupid question, but I've got to ask it. When you send a PM to karin, you're putting in the ~ before and after her name, right?
Short of logging in as you (and I'm not even sure that's allowed), I don't think I'm qualified enough anymore to help. I thought it might've been a mac problem, but I don't think it's that, now that we know that Karin can receive PMs from other people.

She is able to reply me, but unable to send one to me. Also, I sent her a PM and she got 2 of the same PM, even though I only sent one. And.....when I replied to her....it was sent to me! This is crazy! .....

sure go ahead...(at least for me)....btw, if anyone has anymore trouble staying logged in with a Mac, tell them to clear their cache and history and it should start working again (with Safari). This was a tip from PreachersWife and it worked...I really appreciate all her help and yours too SirAdrian!

I must submit my humble apologies as I think I forgot the ~ before & after Karin's name. I just sent a PM to her & although I'm waiting for a reply, it seemed to go through.
I do not recall Karin having a ~ before & after her name. But obviously she does.
In a moment of clarity thanks to (Preacher's Wife) two of a few of my last remaining brain cells rubbed together creating a spark. I think this was the problem... duhhhh... *wipes a bit of droll from her bottom lip.* So yes people, I am a very special person & most likely mentally challenged. I'm sorry for the trouble. I feel like an idiot. :O

I'm still waiting to hear from Karin but I'm pretty sure the problem is solved. It was all do to my lack of attention to detail I think.
