Technically, no. Once a person has had sexual intercourse he or she is no longer a virgin.

Technical and legal defininitions would have that she is not a virgin. And the hymen breaks a lot naturally anyway as with athletes, I don't think this should be a criteria.

My definition of a virgin is a male or female who has not chosen to have sexual intercourse. I believe strongly that virginity cannot be taken away. It is the ultimate gift of self and spirit that we give to one another. Our society derogates and distorts the meaning of virginity and it deserves much more honor and respect than it receives. It should be a positive term, not attached to some negative connotation.

God doesn't judge virginity physically. If you've already had sex and you want your virginity back, you can pray for God's spiritual renewal.

Unfortunately a lot of virgin rape victims still think of it as losing (read; having stolen,) thier virginity, because it's not the lack of consent, it's the penetration.

Yes I believe you are. you didn't willing give it up. But God loves us regarding whether were a virgin or not. Sorry to hear about your trauma, I hope you have gotten help, which is more important than being a virgin.

Then why is it that people make such a big deal about sex before marriage? I've always wondered about these types of things because God loves us no matter what but people make such a big deal about perfectly healthy, natural, human instincts. I.E. Masturbation, sex, etc.

God does not want us to continue in sin. SEx should be reserved for marriage, that's God's law. If someone hasn't done that, God will forgive, but it's another thing to keep doing it. Pre-marital sex has it's consequences, there is disease, pregnancy, an emotional component, etc. We are not here to condone, but to bear one another's burdens.

Lol. Masturbation is perfectly healthy. It's a good alternative to sexual intercourse with another person and prevents you from getting STD's or getting pregnant and other things along those lines. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it and as for sex, it's a basic human instinct/need. It's not a bad thing.

Masturbation might be natural for a sinner, but it isn't God's plan. It is lust. Jesus calls mental lust adultery, so it may be adultery against your future husband or wife. If masturbation is natural then you have to question why a lot of Christians can overcome it completely.

Again, adulterous sex is natural for a fallen human being. What's natural in God's plan though, is sex within marriage. It can have bad consequences in a marriage, but it's far less likely. If you're promiscuous, your basic chance of contracting an STD for example, doubles with the second person you sleep with, triples with the third and so on.

In any case, being controlled by the flesh is not good.

I agree. Sex is only for marriage. Also, it says we are not to touch or lust after people. We should keep ourselves for the spouse we marry.

I'd say yes, if she has no prior sexual intercourse, but then I'd qualify my answer by saying it depends on the the extent the demon has held over her, if she can maintain her innocence, then yes, she is a virgin.

lust and love are 2 completely different things. lust is having no control over that feeling. and one does not have to lust their spouse in order to love them. you don't choose your mate on whether you lust after them.

To get technical no but in your heart its different. I was raped this year and I know for a fact my mind, my spirit, my everything was not into it so I look at it as yes I did have sex with him in the natural, but emotionally, and spiritually I didnt. And that truely is what has helped me tremendously with it.
