  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This is a question about evil.. it's not about theory or theology, rather, it is about the subjective experience of evil as a force or substance.

I went thorough a period in my life when I felt a very tangible sense of a dark, sticky mass was pushing down on me... it felt very oppressive.
I'm not saying that was 'evil' as such. But some people I've talked with have described evil as having a texture and being a sort of tangible force that they could feel.

*** I wonder what people think about these sorts of experiences, and what might be going on?

It could just be stress too.
But evil is the product of an evil being that is real and not just the absence of good. Sometimes it can be felt.

My sister felt it and eventually it destroyed her… Dark actions, lost mind, passed away from illness in agony… Life and end weren’t pretty…

If you freed yourself from it, great! If not, I’d try and find a way to get rid of it once and for all. Might take an enormous spiritual effort. Like a 40-day strict vegan diet, no smoking, alcohol, coffee, drugs etc, avoidance of negative thoughts, unkind words or actions, and non-stop prayers for all those days…. Best done supported by truly spiritual godly men, who are the real deal not phonies
