I started out on bass and decided to learn guitar while i was playing bass now i play guitar... I think you defiantly should learn both to find out which one suits you more (i suggest you stick with guitar aswell though even if you decide bass is for you...you might change your mind later on and regret not sticking with guitar...playing guitar well takes alot of practice and time *as with everything*)
