Stewed Peaches

Does anyone know a recipie for stewed peaches?

For a diabetic diet:


Stewed Peaches

Ingredients:
1/4 cup granulated sugar substitute
4 whole cloves
1-1/2 pounds peaches, peeled and halved

Directions:
About 20 minutes before serving:

In medium saucepan over medium heat, heat sugar, 3/4 cup water and cloves to boiling.

Add peaches; return to boiling.

Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 10 minutes or until tender.

Makes 6 servings

Do you know what the amount of regular sugar would be? (I'm not diabetic so I don't have that sort of thing around) Would it just be the same amount as the substitute?

It sounds good, and maybe I'll try this when our peaches get ripe. Looks like a near bumper crop this year. woohoo!
