Mutant Power: Steven's mind emits a constant, thought jamming psychic energy, usually refered to as "mind static" by Steven. This energy has a jamming effect on consious thought. When not focused, its effects are mild, usually causing those within two or three feet of Steven to simply lose their train of thought for a moment or become slightly disoriented. If his powers are focused on a specific individual, they are more effective, work at a slightly longer range(about ten feet, although they still become less powerful the further away the subject is), and causing major disorientation, lack of focus, and confusion. Though he has not mastered this technique, if Steven focuses his powers enough, he can temporarily shut down his opponent's consious mind and render them unconsious for a few minutes.
This power also has the added benefit of making Steven's mind partially resistant to telepathy. Untrained telepaths are likely to receive no information from his mind, and even trained telepaths may find that his thoughts are fuzzy, like a radio with static.
Steven's powers are always in effect, and Steven still has a problem separating the focus of his attention and the focus of his powers.
Appearance: A short kid with messy, dark brown hair and bright blue eyes with glasses.
Personality: Due to both his upbringing and the nature of his powers, Steven is shy around others. He prefers indirect forms of communication(passing notes, internet, etc.) to direct contact.
Background: When Steven was a child, his parents noticed that they had a difficult time with their child. They eventually realized that they lacked focus and proper thought process only when Steven was around. They contacted a specialist, who determinded that Steven was indeed a mutant. The specialist and his team, seeing the child had an effect over other's minds and fearing that it might develop into full blown mind control, had him admitted to there private facility at the age of 10, where he remained heavily drugged for most of his time there. Eventually, his parents realized what they were putting their son through was wrong, and had him released and sent to the newly established House of M.
Other Notes: Steven is nearsighted, and has absolutely no sense of direction. Also, due to the fact that he has spent most of the last six years drugged, he is quite behind on his education, and require specialized classes.
