CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I love that CF has tons of different people from tons of walks of life and faith, all seeking the Lord.
My fave place.. was a house tucked back in a very small driveway in Shoreline, WA. The picture in my signature was taken in that house. It was less the location and more the people.. they are the loves of my life and will soon be in San Francisco, and I bet soon SF will seem super cool.

I was actually raised in it - my grandmother went. It provided me a safe haven twice a week.. no need to call 911 or try to protect my mom from my dad. It was there that I felt hope for the first time, and it was through TSA's camp ministry that I really got to know the Lord. Now I am one of the youth leaders who helps try to create that safe haven for other kids, and I also have gone back to camp quite a few times to help with the ministry there.I really love the heart of the Army - Soup, Soap, Salvation!; Heart to God, Hand to Man.. obviously, we don't always live up to that. If I could sum up TSA's mission in a few words it would be "Storm the forts of darkness, bring them down! Pull down the devil's kingdom wherever he holds dominion." I love that. I love the ministry of the Army and I love that the Lord has called me here to be served and to serve

I like it! It was kind of strange to hear someone singing phrases I'm so used to hearing.. Heart to God, Hand to Man.. Saved to Serve.. but I really dig it.

Because if we drove on the left, we'd have to pass on the right and most Americans are right handed, so passing on the left makes it easier to flip off the people who were driving so slow we had to pass them.

I have no idea how big my city is.. it's cozy, but not overwhelming. Portland is just across the river, which is a bit more filled with people.

It snows... this past winter, we endured what we affectionately called the "Snowpocalypse".. Portland and Vancouver were both shut down for about 5 days because we had some thick snow. But then in the summer it gets up above 100.

I wish Jesus would call me home.. it will be a great burden on my soul if I am still here on earth. Not that things here are particularly awful, I just really desire to depart and be with the Lord (as the Apostle Paul says)
if not.. I'll be writing. I don't know where in the world it came from.. it's something I think the Lord has been building in me for awhile, but he's called me to begin to write in the fall. We'll see what that means..
