I was visiting a cemetery and there was a once beautiful life size alabaster statue of Jesus that had been beheaded and smashed in several places by a sledge hammer. I could decern the rage and hatred that went into such a desecration.

But God still loves them and desires for them to be saved. The spiritual battle would be to stop their evil deeds without wishing evil upon them.
Yes that spiritual battle is intense, it caused Our Lord to sweat great drops of blood in the Garden.

It is easy to condemn someone. It is harder to see through the evil acts and see the soul whom God loves. Yet, that is our duty. We need to love whom and what God loves and not just ourselves

As our Lord says, if you love those who love you only, what good are you? Do not the pagans do the same?

I am outraged when Our Lady is defaced, but are we willing to stand guard and take the blows that are meant for her?
Do you see it is easier to condemn a person than to stand in the gap and die to save them?
