MELBOURNE!!! Oh Droobie....*sigh* ....I was born there...but, dy'a really reckon?
I go down through Kyneton, through the Black Forest.keep going, get to that lovely hill & there she is...MELBOURNE....then....*duck* a huge overseas jet circles me like a shark*gulp*. I gather nerve and venture forward...*zzzzzttttt* another plane heads for Tullamarine...I venture forward *BEEEEEEEP* a truck's watching me watching the plane which is watching Melbourne *gasp*...I put the foot down...other's are pitting their feet down faster *zoom* .... Then...there I am...in the Big Smoke. And, Praise God that plane has landed. I dare not look back for thou knowest another huge sharkest is circling....
But Ooooooooh the lights are pretty from that hill at night! When I am going home! home! Home!
I went down to see my late husband in St Vinnie's & it was by pure accident I found the highway back to Bendigo...elst, I wouldst have ended up at Ballarat'est....

YES MAMA!! We'll have that cuppa one say in Canberra! Droobie...Melbourne DOES look pretty...from a distance....*Bevlina ducks a rotten egg*

Anybody been driving in Canberra notice how many roundabouts there are? I think it is rediculous every time I want to go to Tuggeranong, that I have to go through 4 roundabouts. lol. It's a 10 min drive!!!!

Elm you wouldn't be much better off, living on the other side of town in Gungahlin. Tell me, Elm, how many roundabouts do you have to go through to get to the city.

I like Canberra. It's a peaceful sprawling country city with the most beautiful suburbs and shopping centres. Roundabouts Mama? I don't like them much. I went through a few recently at Echuca & Ballarat. Oh, I will HAVEto see my Prime City again! I feel the wanderlust coming on....

Canberra isn't too peaceful at the moment. We have Summernats, which is a big huge car festival. Now I am all for people liking cars, not every one who loves good cars is a hoon, but I tell ya, there are those who are, and they hoon all over the city area, and also North side. This year I don't have to hear it. For the past three years, I have been living near where the summernats are, but this year, on the other side, the only thing that tells me it's happening is the news lol.
