I did. Actually, I had to sit down to do it. When the rioters were out each night destroying America a building at a time, I stayed home and didn't participate. Yeah, I know, "silence is violence". Oh well. Sometimes it's golden.

You need to condemn both sides when they do wrong. But you won't. You never have in any of your posts. You won't now. And in all likelihood you never will. And as I said, it's part of the current problem.

Remember when McCain told his partisan crowd that Obama was a decent American family man when someone tried to denigrate him by callIng him an Arab?

Just like Obama I had no time for McCain's politics. He stood for many things that I would stand against. But he was an honest man. A genuine guy. Someone who showed respect to those who disagreed with him. Where are those like him now? Where are those who will stand up, as he did, and say 'No, you are wrong. I support your politics but I will not support that level of disrespect.'

I almost feel like he was part of a different era. But, good grief, he only passed away 4 years ago. Have things gone downhill so far that quickly? Now instead of heroes like him we have morons like Greene. It's incredibly depressing...

Sorry, but here you are comparing a woman referring to Obama as an Arab to someone confronting Biden about the lies he has been telling about half the country.

I'm talking about making a stand about correct behaviour. The woman was out of order. As was Greene. McCain had the cojones to stand up and call her out. More like McCain? Did he win the presidency? Did he make a difference in a way that changed the country and get it back on track? No. He lost to Obama, who we ended up with for 8 years. We learned our lesson after that and got Donald Trump. That's when real change for the better finally happened.
That's not to say that we aren't to emulate decent people. What I am saying is that in politics, simply being polite isn't going to win anything, especially when certain people actually mean sit down and shut up when they tell people to be polite. The last few years has shown that focusing on form and appearance is just bowing down to the opposition.

One of Trump's campaign promises in the run up to 2016 was concerning our southern border. He promised to build a wall that Mexico would pay for and stop illegal immigration and contraband (fentynol as example).
The border remained a problem throughout his presidency, no wall was built and no funding came from Mexico. The southern border is a major problem today and was amajor problem during Trump's term and prior.

American healthcare costs are a major problem for most Americans. Trump campaigned that within 100 days of taking office his “terrific,” “phenomenal” and “fantastic” new health care plan would replace a repealed Affordable Care Act. Once in office, that transitioned to "who knew healthcare was so complicated".
There was no plan, no action, and healthcare remains a major problem. It was a problem prior, during and continues today.

Trump campaigned on a $1 trillion infrastructure plan. “We are going to fix our inner cities and rebuild our highways, bridges, tunnels, airports, schools, hospitals,” he said in his 2016 election night victory speech. “And we will put millions of our people to work as we rebuild it.”
He lied.
Infrastructure was not near the priority that playing golf on America's dime turned out to be once in office. This major problem existed while Trump was in office and is still a major problem.
However, it has been a priority for Biden.

I can go on.. gun violence, was and still is a major problem, illicit drugs was and still is a major problem, money in politics was and still is a major problem, continued funding for Social Security,Medicaid/Medicare..

I tend to think the delusion of Trump apologists exceeds mere loss of memory.

Trump had the border well under control the facts do not lie. Regarding the other issues, the president is limited in some things.
