So I got through two interviews and an aptitude test today.

The interview went really well. She really liked my cover letter. She said she was so used to those "canned" letters that she was impressed when mine wasn't and spoke directly about the company.

She said I have the interpersonal skills I need for the job and that is really what they are looking for. It's something that is hard to teach people. I don't have much of a science or medical back-ground. She said that didn't matter it can easily be taught.

Basically I would be going to school while I work. They are going to pay me a fair wage and pay for all my training. I can go as far as I want in this job. She said that there are 600 ophthalmic technologists (one level up from what I would be) in N. America. 4 of them work for this company. If I wanted to go to that level they would pay for that as well.

The Executive Director is the man who developed the new techniques in cataract surgery. He is also a devout Christian. The lady I had the interview with, was so excited to talk about him and his Faith. She was so impressed that he was such a good and caring man. She said he takes it very seriously but is also accepting of others and their religions at the same time.

So she has 4 interviews to do this week and 3 positions to fill. I think I have a really good chance. I should know before end of day next Tues.

Man that is HORRIBLE !
The idea that a man can abuse his wife and then SHE is the one who ends up paying again if she has to leave the marriage to get away from him for her own safety is just disgusting.

I wish I could say that this was something new.
They learned this behavior from the old world of Israel.

When the New Testament was occurring and being written this was very much the case. The biggest difference was that a woman couldn't have a regular job. Yes, there were a few exceptions to that rule. Prostitution was rampant of the "put away" wives. So was "shacking up". There were very few women that had jobs such as trading in cloth or sewing.

Jesus spoke on this subject and so did Malachi. It is about abuse which God hates more than anything...especially of his children.

Ask Shaina about more details if you like in private messages. She can go into a lot of detail about this as she has knowledge about what the bible says about this sort of thing.

I GOT THE JOB!!!!!!!


They are mailing me the hiring pkg and I start on the 15th.
They pay well for someone who doesn't have a certificate and I get health benefits. I'm SOOOOOO excited!!!!

And the best part of all is that I haven't been stressing about it. I knew God was directing me to this job and I didn't feel I needed to worry about whether I was going to get it or not.

Now I must go shopping for new clothes.

Oh Tink!!!! I am sooooo excited for you!!! You will do so well at this job, I know it. Congrats my friend. I never had a doubt that you would get the job. Now go get your new clothes, have fun doing it, try them all on again when you get home, carefully hang them up, and look at them with a sigh until you go to work on the 15th. Okey lol thats what I did when I got my first job after my marriage ended. Have fun and keep us updated.

Hi again everyone

Yes Michelle I did get the job and I'm LOVING it.
I'm almost finished the basic training we have to do. Next week I will be all on my own.

I got my first pay cheque last week. I splurged and bought myself a new porch swing. Now I can sit in the sun and do all the studying I need to do for my certificate.

I am crazy busy. I'm not sure how to find the time to work, study and be a mom full-time.Not to mention the fact that I also have to clean my house.

PS can anyone tell me how to get my character back up. I can't figure it out.
