Stars *Please Read*

Hi,

I've been speaking with our tech, Adrian. Recently the rep cap was raised. One thing that we've been noticing, is the stars are unusually low. I.e. a member gets a star for every million reps? But for some of you, you've past this in spades, so that some have reached the point that they no longer get any new stars.

Adrian suggested raising the number of reps required to get a star, so that it is more challenging, and thus more rewarding when you finally do get a new star.

How do you feel about this idea?

I would just leave it like it is. There are a lot that have a bunch of reps or stars that will rep the ones that don't have that many to help them along, I do that a lot.

I agree with Ctay. I think it's good the way it is and we do help he one's who need help in achieving their goals. Thanks for letting us give our opinion.

Is it possible to color code the stars...

Green = 1,000,0000,000
Blue = 100,000,000
Red = 50,000,000
Orange = 10,000,000
Yellow = 1,000,000

Not sure of the colors I think Rep Daddy submitted them and they were in a thread somewhere?

It's not very high on my priority list... I'd like to see post customization/Ability to change names etc first...

Are you talking about the stars that appear right above our green/yellow rep boxes on the right side of our posts, where the medals used to be? I've been looking for a concrete explanation of what the stars mean, and what the green/yellow boxes mean too, and how they mathematically relate to rep points and rep power....can someone shed light please?

That could work, color coded stars. I was thinking a star for every hundred million, but for those past the old cap, the same problem would exist. It would be quite neat and tidy to have color coded stars.

I like the idea of color coded stars! It is hard to get stars unless you are in the rep section. I think those who have aquired many stars should be able to show them off, and still be able to help others along too. Plus, it's so nice to get a quick nice message from someone you may or may not know... God bless!

I gave you a rep for bringing this up ...that is about the stars. I just repped your first post. One could make something in Paint Shop Pro and you could use those. I could do something like that if you want.

Yes, RD did submit this a long time ago

I posted & wanted purple (royalty) lol, others wanted green.... and red. it's in the archives someplace.

I tried altering a basic star I found online last night but they are not very good... at least I don't think so... If you could do this it would be great

I'd like to keep the color we have for 1 million and use Red for 10,000,000 but I don't have any preferences beyond that... Purple for a Billion is fine with me...

Green = 1,000,000,000

Yellow = 1,000,000

I deleted 50,000,000 and added 10,000,000,000

Do we want to add 100,000,000,000 while we are at it ? Room to grow
