Btw a word to the wise, If I should post any poems or lyrics up on here, they are ones that I have written, none of these have been copied. If there is a lyric of a song very similar to anything I post or the same, I mean no harm. I wasn't aware, obviously me and a writer have something in common!

Another dram can't do no harm,
I'm looking at the bottom pf a whiskey glass,
the barmaid stares as the thought floats,
should i get another one, would i dare.
Because when my beau's not around,
so far ive found the whiskey's my only company.
Because the feelings are dead till i see that smille once again.

Chorus.
[wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth]ed up till you walked into my life, everyday cut like a knive,
but then you came around, and took that ol' knive out,
Now everything seems clear because theres no painful screams i hear,
You showed me another world, you know you turned it upside down,
You made me see what this life is about, you showed me that was lost and now found.
But now I'm sitting in this empty bar, cuz' i'm right back at the start staring at the bottom of this
damn empty whisky glass.

V2

Now it's time to leave, with drink all down my sleeve,
tumbling the empry streets, looking my love.
Waking up in the morning, still an empty bed.
It ain' no fun when your not here, still counting down the days till you appear.
Hurry an get your ass home, it feels so alone without you, so dead.

Chorus
You were drinking at the bar with all your friends,
looking tight with all the latest trend, laughing and cheering,
thats when you caught my attention, then we got talkin'
I asked him did he want a drink he said yes please,
asking what it would be he said whiskey,
That was the good ol' days when fate was on my side,
but no more drinks to share, theres noone to care,
because my baby is away, and i'm staring, staring at the bottom of this whiskey glass.
It will be like this untill the days pass when you come back
