Starcraft Help!

I got a problem when i try to access starcraft battlenet..its starts to load then a message comes up saying.

"Unable to connect to Battle.net.If you are using a modem to access your server provider and are not configured for dial-up networking,you may need to initiate the connection manually"

I tried reinstalling it but nothing happens.I email Blizzard Tech Support 6 moths ago and they still haven't replied..please help

Don't even bother asking for help with Blizzard tech support, getting an answer from there is like winning the lottery.

What connection are you running through, dial up, dsl?

I think you need to update to the latest multiplayer patch. I recently began playing again back in March, and I had to install a new patch to play on BattleNet.

Try installing the latest patch over a clean install.

That would be the Australian version for you I'm assuming, and either the one for the Original StarCraft or the one for Brood War if you have it.

If you are running a firewall that can cause the message to appear if it isn't configured properly. I know it took my roughly half an hour to get on battle.net for the first time because I had to tweak my firewall to get past that message.

ok thankx alot guys..i'll try to dowload the patch first and if it still doesnt work ill trying tweaking my firewall
