Star Wars: Battle Front

This game just came out today. I'm surprised no one has started a thread on it yet. I guess they are too busy playing it.

Well it is simply great!
The graphics are awesome, and there is always so much happening, on the battlefield.

It has everything, excpet lightsabers(I think). 30 plus vehicles.
8 vs 8 online, with 8 extra bots, simply rocks! There seems to be a hard time finding a good server, but maybe because everyone is playing it. Which wasn't the case for RS3:Black Arrow.
I think all of the action and respawns, is drawing alot for the online connection.

This game has a super offline solo player game to it as well. Plus you can link systems up to play this. I bought two copys, so we can play it at church.
It has a 1st and 3rd option to it.
It kind of plays like Return to Castle Wolfenstien, so the fun may be short lived. But for now, the game is awesome.

I give it a 9.5 for now. A must buy, even if you don't have online.

I think the replay will be great with the option to change sides for the missions. What level are you on?

I haven't done any of the solo levels. Only a few minutes on the first one.

The solo would be worth buying it for. And it runs much smoother offline than online.
This games biggest flaw is trying to find a room with a good connection. You may find 1 out of 10 with a good connection.
Plus you can link up the systems.

I got this game and am hooked. I have the PS2 version and I played online for a long time yesterday. I love this game! Me and my bro LAN'ed for a while and the mics work great. I used to play SOCOM II, so this game has some similarities as well as plenty of differences. I just hate the online interface. There's 23094586 games refreshing constantly and you can never get into the one you want. They need to remake it pronto. Otherwise I love this game to death. Hope to see you guys online sometime!

That's partially true. Unlike games like SOCOM II and the like, this is only "respawn and capture command posts" for both online and single player. Some people find it boring, but I love it. They already have 2 PATCHES for the online mode!!!

How is it like SOCOM II? I was under the impression it was alot like BF: 1942 and Unreal 2k4.

Socom is in 3rd person, and so is this one. I think that is the biggest link.

It players more like BF:1942, where your main objective is to take over the spawn points. Once you take over a spawn point, your team can spawn there.
But in 1942 you get killed much quicker, with less hits. So in that reguards it plays like UT.
