I pre-ordered my copy of Star Trek Online the other day. Should be an awesome game. Anybody else going to check it out?

I wont preorder it but I dont mind trying it out...the reason I wont pre-order I dont want to pay 50bucks somthing for a game I might not like..if a trial comes out ill try it deffo.

Well, I gave the beta a try, and was disappointed. The game seems to be a good one, but not for me. It was difficult, and most of the quests past the tutorial were ship-oriented and required group help. As a gamer who prefers solo play and doesn't find entertainment in frequent death, it just doesn't work out for me at this stage. As a long-time Star Trek fan, all I can say is: bummer. Players who like teamwork and find frequent death to be an exciting, challenging hurdle to jump, however, will enjoy those aspects of this game. (If I wasn't dirt-poor, I'd probably keep this game anyway because, well, STAR TREK!, but alas, I have to be picky about what I spend money on.)

Back to WoW I go...

I've tried to to get into the MMO stuff but I just can't. I'm hardcore Star Trek though so I'm willing to let everybody try it out then report back if it's worth my coin or not.
