Star swap

exactly..

I just put up 2 more 5-12+ threads for similar rep power... so far, not alot of action yet.... the 1-12 swap thread bombed out again...

I looked up the Deal or no deal thread, and I had 16 stars when I started it on Feb. 22nd. Swapping & trading is the fastest way to climb, but I don't know why they don't want to do it?
I'm at a loss and I can't think of any other way to get more reps than that in this forum. (other than buying stars of course)

You've done a great job coming up with ideas to get stars. They don't come easy or free and sometimes that's what we want

that's what I came up with too - I think people just want them, but aren't willing to do what it takes to gain em at a good rate.
We all worked it hard around here - alot of the earlier threads are from us as we were huffing it all the way up the ladder LOL
even winning auctions wasn't easy - you had to work for the blessings to pay for em. LOL It's alot of work and we had to put in alot of hours for it.
Maybe that's what's going on? But I'm about done trying to find ways. This old brain just ain't producing much more lol

when I hit 50 stars I did a short rampage where I spent alot more.
My problem is that I have friends outside this forum...
or I don't spend them all becuz I sign off early.

But I do want to do something for 100 where I'm giving back more per day. in this forum I mean.

But ya, it would be hard to see people with huge numbers while plodding along at miniscule rep numbers - but we're offering the means to do the same thing we did to get them. We didn't have that.
I usually rep the ones that are working it pretty consistently. I like to see that.

I don't know....I think that in my case I feel a bit intimidated to go into the swap threads. I can't really say why. Its just that everyone seems to know exactly what they're doing and I'm afraid I'll mess up or do/say something dumb, or like people won't want to trade with someone with so few stars. But now that I've gotten up to Repzilla with the help of incredibly wonderful people, I am going to concentrate on becoming more familiar with swap/trade threads and hopefully get to the point where I can help newbies get familiar with them too.

But now that I've gotten up to Repzilla with the help of incredibly wonderful people, I am going to concentrate on becoming more familiar with swap/trade threads and hopefully get to the point where I can help newbies get familiar with them too.

First off, I hope you didn't take what I said as any offense.. I mean none. My heart is to help offer the means to gain quicker for you guys becuz I know how hard it is to gain when you're starting out.
I had 9 stars when I found this forum, and I worked up to 16 without trading/swapping.

Now that those other 2 threads are up for 5-12 star passing you can probly bypass the swap thread becuz it pretty much does the same thing for you; a little better return on your reps given out.

But swapping is MEGA easy once you do your first trade. The first one is the hardest, but then you get a feel for how the numbers work real quickly. lol
(I'm a math flunky - if I can do it anybody can!) hehehe

And swapping doesn't have to be a star a day. If you only give 1/4 of a star, someone like me or Nadiine would swap with you for that much. I'm glad new folks are finding there way here.

I started that 1/2 star or less trade that's still going - people swap less than 1/2 star anytime there too.
But since she's at 11 stars now, she can start really moving up if she starts on those other threads, lots of people here want to help too!

It can look intimidating, but I found that the people here are really nice and they will try to find ways to help you with the reps.
