His name means oak tree and I honestly do not know what this man is like in real life only that I have met him (as a friend) recently. I should mention that in the dream I was at the top of the stairs whereas he was a couple steps down from me. I have been asking the lord what he wants me to do about this man as he has been shown to me in previous dreams in a white t-shirt, if im being honest I am unsure as to this persons character and have been talking to the lord in prayer about his character because I'm not sure if the lord is showing him as my match, I should not judge but I cant see how he could be good for me he just doesn't seem that type in my mind.
I don't mean to burst your bubble but God does not show us our marriage partner in dreams. Over 95% of the time the people in your dreams are only symbols. The man is not a match for you, he's a symbol of something. Women get into trouble all the time by thinking the people in dreams are literal. I know many women who believed their dreams of marrying a certain man were literal so they went ahead and married the guy thinking he was their match but they're now divorced because those men were abusive or cheaters and some of them weren't even Christians. That's not God. God would never tell someone to marry a non Christian or someone He knew would abuse or cheat. They interpreted their dreams wrong because they let the desires of their heart rule their lives. It happens all the time and it's sad.
Since the bible says oak trees represent strength and being durable and stable (deeply rooted & grounded as per Amos 2:9) then it seems God is telling you that you are a few steps away from being united with some form of strength. A holiday resort is a place of rest. The resort symbolizes rest and the guy stopping on the stairs also symbolizes rest. Resorts and holidays are times when we stop striving and trying to work. So it seems God is telling you to take a break and rest. Learn to put your trust in Him. Spend, time reconnecting with God talking with Him and gaining life (green grass and trees depict life and growth). Develop a deeper level of intimacy and a closer relationship with God and learn to rest in Him.
That's what I'm seeing.
As you are on an upward journey and taking "steps" to become more durable and stable, He requires you to rest (stop) and trust in Him (rest/resort).
Hebrews 4
Therefore, let us fear if, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you may seem to have come short of it. 2 For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also; but the word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by faith in those who heard. 3 For we who have believed enter that rest, just as He has said,
“As I swore in My wrath,
They shall not enter My rest,”
although His works were finished from the foundation of the world. 4 For He has said somewhere concerning the seventh day: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”; 5 and again in this passage, “They shall not enter My rest.” 6 Therefore, since it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly had good news preached to them failed to enter because of disobedience, 7 He again fixes a certain day, “Today,” saying [c]through David after so long a time just as has been said before,
“Today if you hear His voice,
Do not harden your hearts.”
8 For if [d]Joshua had given them rest, He would not have spoken of another day after that. 9 So there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. 10 For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His. 11 Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest, so that no one will fall, through following the same example of disobedience. 12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.
14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. 16 Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.[/b]
