• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

If youv'e been saved longer than 3 yrs I'm assuming many can relate! Do you ever find yourself in stages in your walk where you feel stale? By that I mean everything is just hum drum. It's hard to grasp that you can come out of a season such as being on a spiritual high,to a spiritual low.

I'm at a season now where I feel God calling me to that mountain top experience again. I think much of my "spiritual" transition happened right after our move a few yrs ago. Ministry opps were scarce, and the "calling" wasn't as strong. Does anyone else recall when they felt like there was more to learn, more to do, but yet you didn't know how to get to point A to point Z? Of course I know the correct answer is "draw nigh to him and he will draw nigh to you"

I'd just like to get a discussion going and this is the perfect forum for it!

Been there many times.....God says there is a time for everything. When hubby and I started the biker ministry it seem as though it would never take off. Now years later it seems to never slow down.
The bible tells us to run the race well, so in order for any one to run a race they have to train and sometimes that training can seem to drag out for ever, but it helps us grow stronger for the course.
There are times I find myself in the valley, but that is where we grow.....

In The Valley I Grow

Sometimes life seems hard to bear

Full of sorrow, trouble, and woe,
It's then I have to remember
..that it's in the valleys I grow.

If I always stayed on the mountain top
..and never experienced pain,
I would never appreciate God's love
And would be living in vain.

I have so much to learn
And my growth is very slow,
Sometimes I need the mountain tops,
But it's in the valleys I grow.

I do not always understand
Why things happen as they do,
But I am very sure of one thing.
My Lord will see me through
My little valleys are nothing

When I picture Christ on the cross
He went through the valley of death;
His victory was Satan's loss.
Forgive me Lord, for complaining
When I'm feeling so very low.
Just give me a gentle reminder

That it's in the valleys I grow

Continue to strengthen me, Lord

And use my life each day
To share your love with others

And help them find their way.

Thank you for valleys, Lord

For this one thing I know
The mountain tops are glorious
But it's in the valleys I grow.

I remember feeling like this when I read "Hind's Feet on High Places" - after reading this book I wanted a mountain top experience.
