Since this is a 50+ forum, I was wondering what stage in life everyone is.

Mother or father still raising your children?
Grandparent with all the kids out of the house?
Retired? If retired, are you now more or less busy than when you had a job?

I, unfortunately, am on a veteran's disability pension.

Well my hubby and I are both late 50's and working at day jobs. We still have 3 older children living at home. One of whom is disabled and find that parenting is still happening even with the older ones. We are not grandparents no married children or anything like that. I have no immediate plans to retire but think it would be nice if I could some day. hmmmm

:wave:Hi Dave, I work full time at a Christian travel agency, and I have two children, who were adopted as babies. My son is 20 and in the army far up in the North of Norway, and my daughter is 15, so there are no grand kids yet. After a year in the army, which will be this upcoming Summer, my son will come back to this part of Norway and begin studying and will most probably do that for some years.
May God bless you, brother.

Greetings, David!
Nice to meet you and welcome to GE forum.
My late FIL was a WWII veteran. Please accept my respects for your service.
I am full time employed, same as is my husband. We have one grown son who is living at home.
Be well and hope to converse with you in the future.

Hello and welcome. I hope you enjoy the fellowship here. You are just a little older than me. Our children are grown and we are grandparents to 6, the eldest being just 11. I am a mature student at university and my husband is a retired teacher.

We keep pretty busy. We like having friends round and visiting our friends. We also love to travel and we are hoping to be back in the U.S. sometime in June. My husband loves woodwork and I love gardening. Both of us love books and reading.

Blessings

I just turned 51 and work full time as an auditor for the State of Pennsylvania. I audit the financial aid records of the universities and colleges in the state to make sure that they are administering the financial aid programs properly.

I was widowed 6 months ago. I am trying to transition to being a widow and single, but in my heart I am still married. I am trying to move on, but it is so hard.

My children are all in their 20s, with one married. They all live at home (including the married daughter. They just returned to the U.S. and are in the process of finding jobs and a place to live).

No grandchildren yet, but waiting impatiently. No pressure, mind you.

"I also served almost 9years in military as a chaplain, three years in Korean War."

I would imagine it would be difficult being a chaplain.

I'm reminded of when I decided to get baptised, I went to the chaplain. He told me he could not baptise me and I had to go off base to get baptised. He was glad I was getting baptised, but just was not allowed to do it. I just went to the nearest church off base and told the minister I was in the military and wanted to get baptised. It happened to be a baptist church.
