Staff had a conference today and discussed the issues of the members of Fab 40's who are single and would like to address single issues and the concerns about others who do not want to be excluded from participation in any threads in this area.
In addition, it is just not possible to have a bunch of subforums here. We have a request for a subforum for the "Game" threads and that is likely to be the last subforum for the indefinate future.
Therefore, here is what staff have decided for this issue.
Threads related to "matchmaking" will not be found in Fabulous 40's. Members who wish to have a thread related to this are encouraged to start a "Christian Club" in the "Clubs" area of CF and can put a link to it in their signature. The reason for this ruling is that it excludes some members of this forum and has caused some hurt or bad feelings.
However, threads related to the issues of being 40+ and single (including divorced, widowed) may be discussed here as long as it is clearly understood that all members of Fabulous 40's will be allowed to post in those threads and give encouragment and support, etc.
If someone would like to have a discussion about being single and would like only other singles to post in it, please start the thread in the "Singles Ministry" area of CF.
In addition, if someone wants to have a discussion about being married and only wants other married people to post in that thread need to start a thread in the "Married Ministry" area of CF.
What we are looking for is threads in the Fabulous 40's area that is inclusive and allow anyone in that age range to post.

different topic: I am aware that some underage members sometimes posts in the Fab 40's area. Staff assigned here are also assigned to many other forum areas, and do not always have the time to address concerns about an occasional accidental post by a teenager in one of the games. (Keep in mind that I work in Christian Philosophy and Ethics and it is hard to keep that area clean and nice to post in. I work 50 or more reports a week out of that forum.)
If a teenager is repeatedly posting in the games, then report one of their posts and let staff know that this is one of at least three of their posts. However, if someone outside of the 40-49 age range starts a thread, or they are trying to give someone advice, or breaking any rule of CF, please report them.
