St. Maria of Gatchina....where to find an icon?!

Recently a few of you in here have inspired me to look into the life of St. Maria of Gatchina, a lovely and inspiring Russian saint who has been connected to miracles of healing involving Parkinson's Disease, a horrible affliction of which my beloved mother suffers.

I contacted a ROCOR priest back east who has a real devotion to this lovely saint. He graciously sent me a small plastic envelope containing some pieces of small rock from her tombstone in Russia.

I have been looking like crazy to find an icon of her, a laminated one, and have just about given up! I've seen only a couple images of her at all! I have a lot of hand-painted icons at home of many different saints, and it has cost me an arm and a leg. I'd like to procur a laminated one or affordable hand-painted one for my dear mother. Any sources or ideas? I'm going crazy and about to throw in the towel.

My mom's birthday is in April, and I think an icon as well as the remnants of St. Maria's tombstone might inspire my mom and offer her a patron saint with hope for intercession.

I have a source in Russia that sells secular things, but he may be able to help you. If you are interested, send me a note and I'll point you toward him. Nice people --- they mostly deal with Russian/Soviet memoribilia, films (DVD's and VHS) as well as many secular Russian books. But he also sells the traditional gift items like matroyshka dolls that have icons on them, etc. He might be able to find it. Someone like St. Maria might be too hard to locate in the west ---- sometimes ya gotta go to the kitchen to get your bread! (Old Russian saying)

I found out about her just the other day when my priest told me he'd say a prayer to her for me. I told him that my PTSD has really been kicking me around. I've gotta find her life story and read it.

ugh! cannot post the link because i don't have enough posts.. I'm sure you can google them. They are good women, good nuns with great devotion. I have ordered many prayer ropes from them and I have always been very happy with their work. I also ordered 3 prints from them that were quite rare also and the quality was excellent and the price very reasonable.

I searched their index and its not listed there, but that doesn't mean they can't get it or find it for you.
