St. Louis Pride Says Anheuser-Busch Ended Sponsorship—As Corporate Support For LGBTQ Pride Celebrations Dwindles

Dwindling support for Pride comes amid a wave of backlash targeting DEI across the federal government and corporate America. Many companies, including Meta, Amazon and Google, have walked back diversity goals and other DEI-related programs in recent months. Some companies also appeared to pull back on public support for Pride last year after conservative boycotts targeted various companies, including Bud Light, Target and Nike, over their outreach to the LGBTQ community.
It is activism and the radical left that turned so many off to such displays.

Yay! People who aren’t “mainstream” can safely be ignored again!

It's not about being ignored. It's about pushing opinions or a way of life on others. I don't know why so many people can't see this. The radical left so often does this, trans men in girls locker rooms and in women's sports is a good analogy.

If I might help out here, I can offer a very clear and obvious example of that very thing: Religion.

-- A2SG, moving on, please continue the petty bickering, I find it most intriguing....

Like all the other segments of society people don't wave specialty flags for.

Yes but society for the most part is alright with religion being ignored, rejected, spoken against and mocked.

Really? I've seen religious people get massively upset at those who do that. Heck, some have even sought legal protection against that kind of thing....or worse, depending on which religion we're talking about.

On the other hand, I've also seen people who try very hard to push religious opinions and a religious way of life on other people who don't agree with or believe in that particular religion. And I've also seen those same people seek legal protection to enshrine their legal right to do that. Successfully.

I wonder, if we looked at our society, which of these two views would be more prevalent? Let's imagine two candidates for President, one who mocks religion and the other who promotes the idea that the US should officially adopt one specific religion (even for those who don't believe in it), I wonder which one would get more votes.

-- A2SG, but that would never happen....

All the same ignoring, rejecting, speaking against and mocking Christianity is a lot more acceptable to secular society as a whole, compared to ignoring, rejecting, speaking against and mocking lgbt.

I'll grant you thst both are legal. As to how acceptable either may be, that differs. Certainly, the acceptance of one is far more recent than the other, and still, religion's influence over society as a whole is quite a bit more instilled into our fabric.

At least, there are no attempts made by the LGBT crowd to convert anyone, and they never demand that a certain holiday must be celebrated their way and their way only, declaring any other attempts as a "war" on that holiday.

-- A2SG, so, there's that....

No attempts to convert anyone? Drag Queen Story Time? What about when the President was speaking on national television about how kids are going to school and comming home after gender surgery! Schools are preforming medical procedures instead of teaching! But, as expected, no outrage from the Left.

Yeah but no one fire bombed or vandalized Target or Bud Light trucks
That's entirely true.

(Not to go off topic, but I only had one guest (customer) complain to me about the DEI policies when I was checking her out. I didn't say anything, because that's not my monkey, not my circus. I just need the money ;)

If Bud Light distanced themselves from Dylan Mulvaney, and apologized, they would make more money. Again, it's their own fault).

Then why are they so adamant that LGBTQ be taught to children and promote things like drag queen story hour?
The hips on the drag queens go swish, swish, swish was sung on a children's show on PBS and I've seen video of a drag queen singing to children "If you're a drag queen and you know it shake your bum"
And who can forget the gay men's choir singing "We'll convert your children "

Absolutely! Don't like Target? Hobby Lobby? Chick fil-A? Don't shop or eat there. Simple!

Target has the best coffee cups I have gotten short of the custom ships mugs that cost a lot.

Right, if only they weren't so loud and flashy - they deserve it!

Yeah but no one fire bombed or vandalized Target or Bud Light trucks
Not firebombed but their displays of gay pride merchandise were repeatedly vandalized by domestic terrorists (since the two are now synonymous).

I've been looking for a new one; I had one that worked perfectly with AeroPress but alas! The Dollar Tree selection lately has been distressingly sparse. Thanks for the tip!
