My Fiance Is Catholic And From Mexico. I Am Not Catholic Though I Have Been Attending Mass Regularly With Him And Taking My Children Also. Next Week I Will Begin Rcia (is That Right) Classes. My Fiance And His Family Believe Very Strongly In St. Judas, He Wears A St. Judas Medalion Almost Always. I Guess I'm Just Asking What The Significance Of This Is Since St Judas Was The One Who Denied Jesus. Is Seems Ironic To Me That They Would Believe So Stongly In This Particular Saint. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

No, neither Orthodox or Coptic Christians hold Judas Iscariot as a saint. The Copts view Pontius Pilate as a saint, but that is because some apocryphal writings refer to Pilate as having converted later in life.JeffreyLloyd said:
