the Scriptures arent God so your statement really makes no difference.
Traditions aren't God either, so your canonizations don't make any more difference than scripture.(?)

Peace
They support it but don't say we should.

Also as I understand it your christian tradition does not allow for the belive that we can be perfected in this life through Christ.

Matt 5:48

Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

It's called an imperative lionroar. Do you understand what that is? Do you honestly believe that that verse indicates that man, in this life, will ever be perfect?

We have already posted Scriputes that supports the tradition of Canonizasing
Saints.

In this thread? Do you know which posts do so?

The Scriptures do not explicitly sate whether we should or we shouldn't.

So your's is an argument from silence?

Wow. It is truly amazing how people miss the plank in their own eye when reporting others. To read some of these reports of my posts you'd think I was the only one being ungodly. It's probably the very reason that I rarely report people's ungodly posts. I realize that I'm just as guilty, or moreso, at many times in my life. Ah well, at least I get to be made aware of my ungodliness and do not have to go about thinking that I didn't contribute to the atmosphere, blaming others and vehemently requesting that they be banned.

With that, I wish you all, well most of you anyway, the blessing of God. I'll check back to see if anyone has responded to my posts, those that are left anyway. Hopefully some of you will share some Scriptural basis for the claim that canonization is biblically supported.

we dont confine God to a book, thats the point. We realize God works outside the Bible. Not everything about Christianity is contained in the Bible, nor does the Bible ever claim that it is.

If you want to insult Catholicism, go ahead but please do not insult me as a person, ie insinuating that I'm slow, dumb, unintelligent or stupid just because I'm Catholic or because I misspell or because of typos.

Please, so that I know to what you refer, please enlighten me as to where I ever said, or insinuated, that you are slow, dumb, unintelligent or stupid because you're Catholic or because you misspelled/made typos.

I appreciate the green light, truly I do, but, based on the way things seem to work around here, it appears that one is only allowed to insult non-Catholic beliefs and non-Catholics.

Well, I certainly cannot promise anything as it is you that decides whether what I say is offensive to you. I will, however, attempt to avoid posting something for the purpose of insulting you. Of course, that same advice could benefit you as well, though you're just going to have to take my word for it in the course of the thread as I have no intention of reporting you and requesting that you be banned. I've heard that there are people on this MB that do that sort of thing.

In the meantime, if you could please enlighten me as to where I ever said, or insinuated, that you are slow, dumb, unintelligent or stupid because you're Catholic or because you misspelled/made typos I would appreciate it.

The mods PMed you and removed where you said it, so you do know, why are you asking? because the reason you insulted me was not for the reasons I gave? Fine, for what ever reason you do it, don't do it anymore, k?

Well, I'm terribly sorry to have pointed out that you bore false witness against me. It is clear that doing so means very little to you. I'll know in the future to not waste your time with such expectations as honesty and accuracy.

Fine, for what ever reason you do it, don't do it anymore, k?

I'll show you mine if you show me yours...
