Yea, fried green 'maters an whatever else ya got. Pity it's Wednesday - no fish or meat!:sigh:

What are you talking about?! It's the week after Pentecost, one of the four non-fasting weeks in the year (the other are the week of the Publican and Pharisee, Bright Week, and the week after Nativity).

Hey everyone! I'm at the beginning of four weeks leave so you probably won't see me online much over that time. I have plenty of work doing repairs to our apartment to keep me busy over that time (when we are not on the beach or visiting monasteries), plus dialup costs way too much in Greece for me to keep up with posts.

Also, our eldest daughter Natalie-Rea was admitted to hospital two nights ago with pneumonia (after four consecutive days of fever). It wasn't apparent in any of the tests and only showed up in the X-ray. She wasn't responding to the initial medication they were giving her during her first days at the hospital, but they have changed to another medication and her temperature has now come down, praise God.

God bless you all,
John.

Hi everybody,
Just clocking in for another shift, I'll keep an eye on the Taverna while everyone is on holiday!

On holiday , who's on holiday ?

Good morning all.

Emmanuel, poor worker.
Hi Emmanuel:wave:

Emmanuel, that makes two of us, so we'll look after the Taverna together. I'll pour the drinks, if you get fresh glasses.:D

Everyone else seems to have taken time off. It's kind of lonley here in the day (Europe/Africa) So I'm checking out some of the other Orthodox forums in the meantime.

 Well, that makes me feel a bit better about the grilled chicken I had on my salad last night at dinner, although I didn't know at the time that it was a non-fasting day. I was just in desperate need of protein (at a restaurant that has no vegetarian options anyway).
