One of my cats had a seizure tonight. THAT was scary. I thought he was going to die right there on the floor. =( Poor kitty. This is the second one that I've seen him have...the other one was a few months ago. Guess we'll be taking him to the vet soon.

It happened while my older daughter was playing with him..so now she's traumatized and thinks it's her fault. She was crying in her room for a long time even after I assured her that it wasn't her fault.

Oliver has had a few small seizures in the past 2 years. They are very scary to go through, both for the person and the animal. I hope the cat is ok.

He seems okay now. He's still wondering around and doesn't really want to be held. He is normally a total attention hog and won't get out of my lap. I'm glad he didn't get physically hurt during the seizure because at first he was darting around the house all crazy , until I caught him and held him in one place until it ended. I really hope it's nothing and he never has another one!! Sheesh!

Crazy travel over there... The Finnish president ended up driving from Denmark to Finland and taking the ferry.
My worry is that if I get there, there is no guarantee I can get back home and then they don't cover much. I have to look and see because at the same time this could last for quite a while and these winds are pretty common.
I read the comments section in one of the Finnish newspapers and was cracking up: So anyone want to guess how long before the EU puts volcanic emissions standards in place...

Honestly. If you can't look after your volcano you shouldn't be allowed to keep one.

I'll be really really sad if I have to cancel April/May travel plans because of this... I realised I have many friends all over the place that love me and I love them & I've been rubbish at actively keeping the bonds strong... so I resolved this year I won't spend long-weekend public holidays on my sofa, but do some travelling around... I don't want to have to spend them on my sofa anyway after all due to this stupid volcanic ash.
