Just finished my final EVIL linguistics paper for the year. One more to go, but it's an ordinary humanities paper, and it's not due for another 2 weeks. I hate this course with the passion of a thousand suns, but two more lectures and that paper and it will be over. The other papers for this course have made no sense.

I have another paper due on Friday but it's on Christians in the arena (hehehehehehehehehe - THEY set the essay question, too, would you believe...must not quote the synaxarion too much...) and 1200 words so dead easy.

Then two finals and I'm free for a few weeks, and back into classes again. I'm studying the ancient world in film for classical studies which should be fun, we get to watch all the movies about ancient greece and rome and point out what's wrong with them all. Oh, and a less fun but very useful lingustics course on morphology and syntax. And some other stuff, both histories, one american (civil to cold wars) and one on food and drink.

One more week of official classes to go!

Upon getting his hair cut, the first thing my 7 year old asked was "Can you see my cross now?" Apparently he thought that the oil cross he gets on his forehead for special feast days was permanent like a painted tatoo or something.

He was sort of disappointed.
