That is awesome. I'm in Missouri now and there is only one Orthodox church in my town. I really wish I had more options. Of course, the church I really love is in Kansas City...but traveling 2 hours is out of the question.
I have a new baby now too. Well, not so new anymore. She is 10 months old already! Her name is Alexandria. =)
I am so glad you found a great church. I totally understand how it feels to question and be unsure.
I pretty much stick to TAW too. I do confess to hopping over to OBOB from time to time...but only reply in fellowship type threads or non-church related threads.
Oh yeah...I'm back in school now too. Slowly but surely working on my bachelor's. I pretty much have all my generel ed requirements done and will start working on my art classes this coming Fall. I'll be majoring in Photography. It's nice to be heading toward a goal again.

I could not even begin to tell you how many Orthodox Churches are in the Greater Pittsburgh area. Not only that, but there are 6 bishops in Pittsburgh.
Well, if I lived in a large city, I wouldn't be in this situation. But this is where I ended up, and I will be here at least until Kaylee graduates high school (in 2016!). After that, I am seriously thinking of moving either closer to KC or closer to St Louis. Probably KC, since I have family there. But then again, my life has been extremely unpredictable up to this point...so it wouldn't surprise me at all to find myself in Tokyo.
None of those places appeal to me. I would love to visit some of those though. Especially NYC. As much as I will complain about MO, the wide open farmland and fresh air feels like home to me. I also love the Ozark Mtns. The only other places that I feel such fondness for is the west coast of Florida and also the Carolinas and the coast of Georgia. I'm a southern girl 100%. I remember feeling so out of place when I lived up north in Milwaukee.
I can not give details, but although I am and always will be a Pittsburgher, I will soon become very much at home in Northern California.
My Chemistry prof is awesome. All I have to do is pass the final with a 70% or better and he won't count it against my grade unless it brings my grade UP. =) I have an A right now, sooo...Yay! It takes a ton of pressure off, so that I can spend a little extra study time for my Programming (C++) final instead.
Hello oldtimerHi. I see a couple of oldtimers here. I have to pop in every blue moon to see what's going on.
I love professors like that, especially when they are upfront about your grades. I'm dealing with the opposite. I have a prof who hasn't handed back a single page of graded work the whole semester. He did the same thing last semester. I went the whole grading period not knowing where I stood in his class grade wise. I shouldn't complain though, he gave me an A last semester, and I've put in the same effort, so I'm expecting the same this semester. It's still kind of nerve-wracking not having tangible grades.
