Well it's not in the little book we have. It must be in the one we had borrowed from my Mother-In-Law (and subsequently returned).

Bishop Kallistos quotes the prophecy in the third paragraph of this article of the Orthodox Peace Fellowship.

"The time will come when the devil puts himself inside a box and starts shouting; and his horns will stick out from the roof-tiles."

I also found it quoted in Greek over here

Ο Κοσμάς, προέβλεψε ότι ο διάβολος θα μπει σε ένα κουτί και θα φωνάζει και τα κέρατά του θα είναι πάνω στα κεραμίδια.

So it seems we have paraphrased a little from the original . He didn't state that the box would be in our living rooms, but "his horns will stick out from the roof-tiles" certainly does sound a lot like TV antennas to me.

I like the term "equal to the Apostles." To me, it expresses one of the things I like most about Orthodoxy: the fact that God didn't leave us after the 1st century. The Lord didn't stop calling people when He ascended, He's called many since then. Several have answered the call in amazing ways.

Just because the Sola Scriptura crowd set an arbitrary cutoff date for events they deemed worthy of study (only things that happened before AD 97 or so) doesn't mean that the lord hasn't been doing things that were just as amazing, and calling servants who were just as faithful, in the last 1900 years.
