Why isn't there set aside a place at CF for SSPX members?
Also if it could be possible a SSPX symbol of faith should be made available for SSPX believers to use.

Just a thought...

I don't think so as they're not in communion with Rome.
they believe that the Holy See is empty and had been ever since V2 which in their words where a heretical council.

So no I can't see them as a natural part of OBOB and neither do I think they would be associated with today's Papacy.

You are right that they cannot promote their ideology in OBOB, it's against the Statement of Faith in there.

The main reason I can see as to why a forum wouldn't be created for them is because there aren't many on this site. I think I know of only one or two and they post extremely infrequently.

Are you SSPX or just interested in having discussions on issues related to them? If you just want to discuss the issues, we could find a forum where it would be allowed.

A faith icon might be more feasible than a forum, but that decision is made by folks higher up the CF ladder than me.

Nope, no SSPX here.
I do however sympathise with them s great deal, but Francis I is my pope.

The reason as for why I brought the subject up is because as you said discussions with them and genuine interest in their angle on things are IMO missing on CF.

Also despite they're outnumbered greatly and just a splinter group I think they should have the option of flagging SSPX in their faith symbol at this site.

So if refered to OBOB they should at least have the possibility to mark their faith.


Anyway it was just something I found missing in this rather plural forum
So I thought that this is in the spirit of CF.

The thing though with adding either another faith icon or forum, it would have to have a good amount of support to be added.

If there were enough of then to make a forum worthwhile, the Admins would definitely consider it. Since outright SSPXers are rare, I don't think it will happen.

If you wanted to discuss SSPX issues, you could start your thread in Denomination Specific Theology (a subforum of General Theology). That's probably the most appropriate place.
