Eddie, I agree, while these ministries are wonderful, they are few compared to the number of christians who proclaim christianity.

You realize that lost people have no true hope or peace and you are fully aware of their bondage to sin. This can affect us as well when we have fellowship with them and it can wreck the relationship and cause it to dissolve into disharmony and estrangement.

This burden increases when the lost person is someone you know intimately and love. It may be a husband, wife, son, daughter, or other family member. It grieves your heart to know that your loved one is separated from God, under His wrath, and headed for an eternity in hell. You long for your loved one to experience true hope and peace through the Lord Jesus Christ. You yearn for your loved one to be set free from bondage to sin.

Too often, these persons are abandoned into an abyss they are locked in without anyone single person praying for them.

If this understanding burdens you for those who are lost, it is a call for you to pray.

agree 100% (especially as I have a couple of unconverted family members). I have great confidence in God's sovereignty however and find great comfort in knowing He has a perfect plan (He does still expect us to pray however)

I admire you, I admire the wisdom what you have in the prayer room.

I was an intercessor prayer warrior for 20 years but stuff happened and now I am nothing, my prayer life is zero. I know I was deceived but there is also no help from the church. The church failed me I guess my biggest mistake was to walk away from all.

Please keep my in prayer

Dear sister, you are not forgotten by God or by His people. We here are praying for you to be restored to Him even as we supporting Springrain. People will always fail us at times, but God will never fail us. You are not the first one who has walked away and you will not be the first to be restored to His fold. He's right there with you now even as He is here with me. All that is necessary is to believe sincerely. When your faith seems to be too little, ask Him for more. He will not refuse a sincere request to bring us closer to Him.

A Prayer Today

Father God I pray today for those friends here who have uplifted your servant Springrain with prayer.

Through your dearly beloved Son Jesus, let Your light surround them, Your love enfold them, Your power protect them and Your presence watch over them.

Though we live far apart, I ask you to be wherever they are.

Empower us with the gift of prayer to bring needy souls to accept Your Mercy.

SIS, Dave, Amadeus...You were evidenttally chosen to be my prayer supporters....I praise you for responding to HIS call.

I can hardly tell you how grateful I am as I was in battle, and it was a tough one, I believe that those who were praying for me are the ones that really did hold me up and got me through.

We often do not realize how very important our prayers really are.

Today, we are triumphant that the bondage of One soul in my family has been brocken and brought back in reconciliation with God. It is a time for PRAISE and THANKSGIVING.

As the scripture says, "righteous prayers" do avail much. Why does it work? Because God says that it does. We are with you sister all of the way.

Praise God for the return of one from bondage!

One thing my church emphasizes is the fact that we are a house of prayer. We keep lists of prayer requests and answered prayer in our lobby. We have a weekly prayer meeting - my pastor says he wishes he had kept a journal from the very beginning because we've had hundreds of answered prayers over the years. The first Sunday of every month the men meet after worship for just 10 minutes and pray for the women of the church (I really appreciate that one). It's very common to see 2-5 people praying together after worship - just a spontaneous get-together to support a brother or sister in Christ.

Sadly, I don't think enough churches emphasize intercessory prayer - maybe I'm wrong, but I do think it has the appearance of being lacking in many churches.

Unfortunately, too much of man and not enough of Jesus. We can pray for that situation as well. God is able.

yep - too many churches think horizontal relationships only (man to man), they forget the vertical (man to God and God to man)

Intercessory prayer is a ministry that is often misunderstood--and often attacked. In the years I have been in churches, I have talked to many intercessors. Some, like you, had been hurt so badly that they didn't want to pray anymore.

But God's gifts are without repentance. If you have been given the gift of serving others in this way, then that ministry has not gone away. It is still in you. You just need to stir up that gift again--it is still there! It would probably help you as well to have some kind, loving words and encouragement.

people (you can *Spiritually-discern* here in CF daily - where people reveal their lost-natures) - will continue failing you. As you said, they get others buying into their abyss of "now, I am nothing". And sadly, in this the church fails you, & many others.
