What a great idea Spring! I love both pictures. The mountains in the 'real' picture are breath taking! I can't imagine being able to look at that everyday! What a blessing!

Praying for you today

I woke up early this morning and came downstairs to see Snow falling. It was freezing, but I love snow. There is a magic in how the white snow flakes once they settle give everything an ethereal glow. It brings into focus Trees and Shrubs which blend into the soil normally.

I took photos and watched it melt away. The birds were busy eating their hearty breakfasts to warm up. All the birds that visit look well fed, with bright feathers. The bird table and feeders have kept their fat reserves up.
I saw a house sparrow this morning before the sun was fully risen moving around the plants under the arbor.I think that this female house sparrow may be the mystery bather who splashes all the water out of the green bowl.

Enjoy this little bit of Winter Wonder...The photographer says it is Indian Paintbrush but Im not sure. It is located in the Cascade Range mountain meadows.

Prayer Today

Our Father in Heaven in the name of Our Sweet Jesus, King of Mercy , I can only imagine Your compassionate heart. Our struggles beat so loudly that we want to cry out for help but quietly I reach into my store of faith and peace comes. You are reminding me that everywhere all around me there is evidence of Your Presence -- and in that I can take hope. To be aware of Your presence at this moment is so important in my life. To know that in all things, I can turn to You, and trust You for whatever the circumstances that face me.

It is because of this, I step out to pray for others, including the persons I have lifted up tonight. You are faithful to those who call You by name and You are gentle and compassionate. Your Word is filled to the brim with hope, and Your great Kingdom that is to come, a shining light on the horizon, that helps me focus on You and Your needs and the need of others -- instead of my own.

My prayer is for anyone who is at this very moment struggling with things beyond their own control. My prayer is a cry to my King asking for His arms of protection to fall on each one of them. Whatever their struggle this day, Lord, I pray You will reveal Your purposes in that struggle, and I ask You to comfort and sustain the weak ones who are the most susceptible to the snares of Satan -- especially at such a time as this.
