  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

We live in troubled times, an age of anxiety.
All of us subtly affected by the climate of our age.
We must try to learn emotionally as well as intellectually,
that God is truly very close to each one of us.

How shall we pray Lord to assist the living who are sick and lost and dying because they choose to live rejecting your graces?

Eternal Father, Great Physician and Healer grant the souls who are afflicted mentally and emotionally, release their troubled hearts, fill them with peace, calm and rest.
Help these souls to learn how to entrust all fears and worries into YOUR hands, and to place all confidence in Christ's Love. In the name of our Sweet Savior Jesus Christ, Amen

Most Merciful God, in Jesus name increase Your grace in men and women consecrated to Your service that they perform worthy works of mercy, and that all who see them may glorify the Father of Mercy who is in Heaven.

Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the company of chosen ones in Your vineyard - upon the ministers - and endow them with the strength of Your Blessing. For the Love of the Heart of Your Son in which they are enfolded, impart to them Your Power and Light, that they may be able to guide others in the way of salvation, and with one voice sing praise to Your boundless Mercy for ages without end. Amen

Dearest Lord Our God, You alone are Our Father who saves. I ask you to look down upon the many souls here lying in great weakness of body, some of them confined to a bed, in hospitals and hospices, some with medical assistance but no cure, others with no medical assistance. There are many we know of by prayer requests while the lonely and forgotten receive no help, and no pray at all. Some of these are our own families and friends. I also include here Father all your children for whom no one cares. For all of these I pray.

Eternal Father , cover them all under Your Merciful Healing Hand. The issues of life and death hold nothing impossible for You. I ask you to look upon the sick and dying and heal all their infirmities, affliction and disease of every sort, restoring them to health. In submission to Your will, I ask Your Merciful hands to spare them with Your tender touch. Grant them a longer life among us. If You should be pleased to raise them from their bed of languishing, grant that they may live the remainder of their life in Your glory.

But whatever Your Will determines, for life or death, let these souls, precious in Your sight be given true repentance for all their sins, ignorance, and the negligence of their past life. Prepare them for the hour of departure and in so doing defend them from spiritual enemies. Finish all that is needed in the work of their salvation. Support and comfort them in their last agonies. Make their end easy and peaceful. Wash these souls with the precious blood of Your dear Son. Sanctify them with the graces of Your Holy Spirit. Cleans them from all defilements, so they can be presented pure and blameless, without spot before You.

Finally Lord, receive them into the arms of Your Divine Mercy; breath into them a lively faith in Jesus Christ and give them a resurrection into the eternal life of Your Kingdom.

All of this I ask, in the name, and through the merits of our Advocate and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. Amen

GREAT AND MIGHTY GOD, who can bring us down to the grave, and bring us up again; I bless you for your great goodness, in having heard and answered my prayers, and in having turned my heaviness into joy, my mourning into gladness, by restoring me to some degree of my former health.

Blessed be your name, that you did not forsake me in my sickness; but did visit me with comforts from above; support me in patience while I sought to be obedient to Your will; and at last sending me relief. I am inspired with a grateful sense of Your Mercy, and with a holy purpose to serve it, by giving all my future days, heartily to Your service.

Your gracious goodness towards me prospers my soul thru the means employed for my restoration of body, vigor of mind, and cheerfulness of spirit, I am able to offer prayer to You in gratitude with great gladness; and to bless Your Holy Name, for all Your loving kindness and Tender Mercy towards me , through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Thank you Springrain for these prayers. There are so many people who need help in so many ways, but especially in their relationships with God. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous woman does also availeth much! I am praying with you for all of these.

In past eras when crime inside churches was rare, the church sanctuaries were open most, and often, all of the time, ready for anyone with spiritual needs to come in and pray in peace. As with everything else nowadays, the fears, expense, staffing and effort to do that is too much for most congregations. But then, where can we pray? The answer is: “Anywhere.” However, the rest of our lives and our world gets in the way even when the perfect quiet place is under our feet we long to turn on music, tv or get on the phone anything that fills the space of silence. The desire for a relationship with God goes shuffled under to our human instincts to fill every moment of life with activity.

Even when we do pray…how much of our active life do we give to it...a few minutes? Still, when we do seek some quiet time, there is still a need for a place to go, set aside for the purpose of praying, set up to help us in the act of praying. Often, this can be an outdoor area, such as at a riverside, or a garden, or under large shady trees, even a roof top. A few people make prayer spaces in their homes and even their automobiles, not essentially to pray while driving but I know people who spend their lunch period at work, appreciating quiet in the peaceful place of their car.

What matters most is not the place itself; what matters is that it helps you to be able to pay full attention to the most important of all relationships, prayer with God. And what means the most is that you seek to set aside time for prayer, to wrestle with the Creator, to feel one's body made a temple of the Holy Ghost.

I tryed clicking on the video but it says it is no longer available.
Our chuch has been broken into several times. It is very sad when we have to lock churches up but as you say we can pray, praise and worship anywhere we want and God will be there.:groupray: :amen:

Quotes from -- Mother Teresa

People are unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered.
Love them anyway.
If you do good, people may accuse you of selfish motives.
Do good anyway.
If you are successful, you may win false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Honesty and transparency make you vulnerable.
Be honest and transparent anyway.
What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.
People who really want help may attack you if you help them.
Help them anyway.
Give the world the best you have and you may get hurt.
Give the world your best anyway." -

Mary said; that she would "keep it until it rots"

and I replied, that "We ought to plant it and let it, have babies, for, our-table"

Well, I think it OUGHT TO BE 'planted'

(a) eventually, in-ter-it sorta _sometime > soonish

or,

(b) get it planted, like, pretty -darn > smartish ? ;)

 ?

"And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good." Gen 1:12

Let it be planted that it may also be fruitful and multiply "after his kind"!

Hi Clairefish, I am so glade to see you here. I enjoy the music too...praise and worship lifts me so.

My desire for this thread is to reflect worship and praise. So here is another one for you...I am including the lyrics for full appreciation, sing along and dance if the Spirit moves you.

RAIN DOWN --by Delirius

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjzpKeJgY_s

Looks like tonight, the sky is heavy
Feels like the winds are gonna change
Beneath my feet, the earth is ready
I know its time for heaven's rain, it's gonna rain
It's gonna rain, again

Cos it's living water we desire
To flood out hearts with holy fire

Rain down all around the world we're singing
Rain down can you here the earth is singing
Rain down my heart is dry but still I'm singing
Rain down rain it down on me.

Back to the start, my heart is heavy
Feels like it's time, to dream again
I hear your voice, and yes I'm ready
To dance upon this barren land
Hope in my hands

Do not shut, Do not shut, Do not shut the heavens
But open up, open up, open up our hearts

Give me strength to cross the water
Keep my heart upon your altar
Give me strength to cross this water
Keep my feet don’t let me falter

There are days when music is the only thing that can lift you up

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Br9aBsq5gro&feature=related

Sanctify by Delirius

Here I am in that old place again
Down on my face again
Crying out I want you to hear my plea
Come down and rescue me

How long will it take
How long will I have to wait?

And all I want is all you have
Come to me, rescue me,
Fall on me with your love
And all you want is all I have
Come to me, rescue me,
fall on me with your love

Sanctify I want to be set apart
Right to the very heart
Prophesy to the four winds
And breathe life to this very place

How long will it take?
How long will I have to wait?

And all I want is all you have
Come to me rescue me,
Fall on me with your love
And all you want is all I have
Come to me rescue me,
Fall on me with your love

Lifted up I've climbed with the strength I have
Right to this mountain top
Looking out the cloud's getting bigger now
It's time to get ready now

Seven times a day and all day do I praise You because of Your righteous decrees....Psalm 119:164
Nothing blesses God more than when we stop right in the middle of what we are doing sometimes and lift our hands to worship Him or take a moment to bow down before Him and say, "I love You, Lord." In the scripture above, the psalmist says he took time seven times a day and all day long to praise God....
Praise the Lord and God bless each of you...
