spring onion meaning

i had a couple words about a spring onion and without knowing a girl who was praying for me said she had a picture of one as well. Later I had another woman come up to me and tell me she felt God was peeling away layers of an onion and she felt that word was for me. I wrote them down and forgot about it but today I woke up to a picture of me holding a spring onion almost like a pen. Any idea what the spring onion could represent?

Well God peeling away layers seems like it's saying God is working on you to get to the heart.

a spring onion is different to other onions.. it isn't vile on the inside.

that's just my own interpretation.
pray to God for clarity on it.

true, i guess there are layers to get through. i also thought onions make you cry and i hardly ever cry not sure if they are connected. i will definitely pray about it thanks

Onions are symbolic of layers and of fragrance. They also can represent that which brings tears followed by healing. It is easy to confuse a spring onion with a scallion. Spring onions are more petite than leeks, and look different from scallions because they will bulge near the root. Spring onions are simply young/baby onions that have been pulled before they develop into conventionally used mature onions.

It could represent that in some way you maybe premature in some aspect of your life....a pulling of the harvest before it is fully mature? Or it could be a time indicator..... Spring being too soon to make some new change in your life.

It would also be good to pray about and consider any possible memories linked to this onion too. For me, just to smell them makes me hungry.

When I have heard of three people having the same message, there was a reason that they needed to collaborate -- either imminent danger, or a joint partnership, ministry troubles brewing. Who knows, maybe you will start a business and decide spring onion would make a great name.

Peeling away layers of a spring onion is a little scary -- not much is left, compared to a developed yellow onion.

As HumbleW brought out, there's some emphasis on the green leaves. Spring onions would be in the process of growth where energy is applied into growing leaves first to receive the energy of the sun, and then gradually shifting growth to storage of energy in the root/bulb.

Maybe it also relates to this shift, where the excitement of growing toward the sun will start looking different, and you will be entering a stabilizing stage. A word like this can help keep you from getting discouraged when the feeling of growing closer and closer to the Sun seems to wane.

Interesting how you were using it as a writing implement there, where the savory onion with layers was a tool for you to express yourself.

Pray about whether you might take your personal stories -- your experiences -- and communicate them to help others. Most of us do that to a small extent, just in sharing solutions. But maybe you could think about taking it further.
