I have been dealing alot with this. Things that I once did and do occasionally but not all the time is smoke weed. It makes me paranoid and my beliefes on it is that your not supposed to smoke it. I wish it was just something I can brush off. With the OCD and Schizophrenia it makes it hard to deal with. Plus movies that come out today are just plain hiddious. What I'm getting at is that I need prayers thru this turbulent time in my life and I have alot of strong holds that hurt me. Please will ya'll pray for me that I get thru this.

I know a lot of people will tell you that smoking weed is fine but I would caution you against it. But take a look at this,

Legally prescribed medication from a doctor can be beneficial. One of the Gospel authors (Luke) was a physician. If you are on medication for schizophrenia or OCD, I recommend that you continue taking it, and talk to your doctor if you're having any problems.

I know when I used to smoke it, it would mess with my head, I remember sometimes (I was not a Christian at the time) I would try and watch Christian tv or read the bible and when I did I would have a loud ringing in my ears. It was very weird and scared me, it happened every time (when I stopped reading, the ringing would stop...), it was a demonic stronghold in my life for sure, when I came back to the Lord it was one of the first things He had me get rid of.

I'm not judging you though man, I know how addiction is, I know how it feels to need something to get by. My best advice though if you really want to be free is to just do some research and pray and ask the Lord to set your heart against it, you are probably wavering right now if its really wrong or not. For me it was.

These drugs are medically tested and approved to change chemical patters in the brain and the body to counteract an abnormal condition in the person being treated. Marijuana as an elicit drug is a hallucinogen that can really mess with you, as you said it makes you paranoid (it had that affect on me too). It takes you out of reality and you enter into a false one, I believe personally that this false reality is a demonic realm.

Marijuana may have some medical use, and if it is used in the right setting, in the right way, in extreme circumstances, it may have some benefit. I still question some of the science behind this though. But all I can say is that from my experience and from what the Lord has told me about it and how He wanted me to get it out of my life, I think that it has evil behind it. Every Time you smoke it you could be opening yourself and your mind to the demonic, I know I was.

Ya thats exactly the way I feel. Jesus said Come as your are. And in the OT it tell about the Lord healing your backslidding. It's enjoyable at first then I rememeber Jesus's words then this conflict starts to happen in my mind. My flesh waging war against the spirit but since I have Christ's deposit in me. I'm going to grow. Thats for sure. God doesn't make mistakes. He creates perfection. And until we are united with Him we have this war we must battle. The tools are in the Bible and Prayer. These things will give us hope when we need it the most.

I hear ya bro, I think though that if you could come to a place where you don't need it anymore and just stop using, you would grow even more in the Lord. I still struggle with sin too, my goal though, the Lord's goal for my life and yours is to be completely sanctified without spot or blemish that sin causes. If the Lord tells us something is sin in our life then we need to be delivered from it.
