  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

He's about a month, right? Is he just spitting up or projectile vomiting? (Like, do you have to run across the room to catch it?) The only reason I ask is because first-born boys have a higher percent chance of having blockage between their tummy and intestine (there is a fancy name and I can't remember it). It starts as spitting up more and more frequently and then becomes projectile because nothing can make it from the stomach to the intestines. If it just seems like normal baby spit up I wouldn't worry, but if it increases in frequency or severity, then you may want to call the doctor just to check with him/her and see if they want to see him. (It's corrected by a simple surgery and usually shows up by 6 weeks of age.)

My first son had terrible physiolgical reflux (major spitting up with no pain) We had a hard time keeping him full. We tried all the medicines, but he spit them up before they could work. He was gaining weight and meeting his milestones so the dr's weren't worried. I was, though (it was scary, it almost seemed like he spit up more than he ate, he spit up solid foods, even dry things like biter biscuits and crackers) At about 6 months I was at my wit's end and the Dr ordered a barrium swallow (they drink formula mixed with barrium while they x-ray to see his digestive track in action...it was really cool) They ended up finding a totally unrelated digestive birth defect. Now I praise God for that reflux. We have not had any problems with his defect but is a potential danger everyday of his life. It was much better finding out about it under those circumstances then in the ER on the way to surgery!

Sorry, I sort of got off track (I'm not trying to scare you) His spit up slowed down when he was sitting on his own and alot more when he was walking. He's 17 months old and spit up ice cream about 2 weeks ago...maybe that was the last time! It's only a couple of times a month now. Yours will grow out of it, prolly way before mine! As long as he's growing and developing normally, he's just a "spitter"!
