A few years ago, I had some friends who were really getting under my skin (I was a new-born christian) and I asked the Lord to help me figure out what was wrong. The next time I went to my local gospel bookstore, I was led to a book called "The Subtle Power of Spiritual Abuse" by David Johnson & Jeff VanVonderen. When I flipped it open I saw words that described just what I was going through with these people. I highly recommend it! God bless you!

What exactly is spiritual abuse?

My first and only wife read the book above and not only divorced me, she got a permanent protective order against me! Spiritual abuse seems to me to be a pretty nebulous, subjective term. Stick to the Holy Scriptures. God will show you in His Word how to deal with persecution.

Spiritually abused? I have not heard of the word but I've heard of spiritual warfare. Be very careful of what you are dealing with in the spiritual realm because you never know whether what's out there for you to deal with. I suggest you to read the Word of God and pray to God.
