I was reading something online and it said you should belong to a religon. It says because religon was man made and should just follow god instead of a religon. Because some people might have changed his messages or something.

Any thoughts.

It is good to learn from different sources but the Bible is the final authority. If you are taught something it must be documented in the Word...even what you learn in a church, perhaps....especially what you learn in a church.

Galatians 4:1-2 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.

John 14:26 But the Comforter, Which is the Holy Ghost, Whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

All things He said unto us is written. The Holy Spirit opens understanding of His Word as we are ready to receive it. First the milk and then....the meat.

Matthew 24:45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

Having a personal relationship with Christ and walking close to Him, His word will allow you to have discernment of religions who do not line up with the word of God.

It is good to be in a circle, or teaching flock not only for support but for worship and being in the word of the bible.

Some are way out there, and some are Right on.

Religion tends to be man-made rules... and not always helpful.
As BlessEwe said, a relationship with God is different, a living faith as opposed to a set of rules
