Electric Sceptic said:As always, it comes down to this...creationists' faith in themselves, not in their god, is too strong.

Nooo...MartinM said:Sounds to me like you're saying that 'evolutionists,' whatever they are, can't be Christians.
MartinM said:I'm sure that'll come as something of a surprise to the Lebanese government, not to mention the inhabitants of Tyre.
I'm sure god feels saddened by that.*-The-Elusive-Chicken-* said:Then how about this: "My faith IN MY GOD is to strong to be shaken by that."
Better???
MartinM said:So are Christian 'evolutionists' not guaranteed the same reward you are, or was your earlier statement false?

If he didn't he want us to come up with the TOE, he wouldn't have put the evidence there...
Oh wait, that was the demons, right?
Why do you think it is that the vast majority, nearly 100%, of scientists in that field, say, archeology, geology, etc, accept evolution?ChrisS said:Perhaps it's just the way we interpret the evidence?
Caphi said:Why do you say you don't need to prove anything to me? Is this another one of your "God is right so shut it" arguments? Because it doesn't hold water at all.
Ok, so, god doesn't rely on science... Ok. That's why Genesis makes no scientific claims! Good job, TEC, we agree!*-The-Elusive-Chicken-* said:GOD DOES NOT RELY ON SCIENCE. If you ignore everything else, please try to get this one fact through your head!
No, because it's not your faith in god that keeps you a creationist...it's your faith in yourself.*-The-Elusive-Chicken-* said:Then how about this: "My faith IN MY GOD is to strong to be shaken by that."

And why is it that those who don't OFTEN, OFTEN I SAY, don't understand the basic tenants of it?
Do you really think it is all the scientists who are deceived?
You pretend like scientists plainly accept the TOE, but look at the debate between SJG and Dawkins! Unfortunately, Gould died before it could be resolved, but this goes to show you, people don't blindly accept it.
Now I see. Just one thing...could you point me to the verse in the bible where it specifically refers to the ISLAND city of Tyre, rather than the mainland one?*-The-Elusive-Chicken-* said:My mistake. I was talking about the ISLAND of Tyre. You see, there were two "Tyres", one on the mailand, one on the island. You are refering to the city on the mainland, which was also destroyed by Alexander the Great, but was rebuilt. The Bible reffers the the island city.

Nice try.
P.S. Work on your geography skills. A lot.

Indeed, it certainly isn't the one and only. But, at the same time, it's like saying that the fact that starts are clumped into galaxies, which in turn make up the universe isn't the only way. It's not the only possible way, but its the only way that makes sense with the evidence that is there.ChrisS said:It seems to me you just made some assumptions about my post. I'm not saying that they have been decieved at all. They simply have come upon a possible theory to how humans now exist, as well as all other animals.
It doesn't mean it's the " one and only possibilty". Just the only one science has found today.
