Spiritual Meaning of Tears From Left Eye Only?

About a few days ago, I had a very strange dream.

I really don't remember a lot of it, but just this main part.

My left eye just kept dripping tears, and not my right. When the tear dripped off my check, another would follow. It kept repeating. I wasn't crying though?! The tear would just drip from my left eye. I remember putting my hand against my left eye, and it would stop, until I pull my Hand away, the tear would start again.


What does this mean, my left eye just kept dripping tears? But I wasn't crying, nor did my Right eye tear at all.

Christ sits on the right side of God, the left would represent the oppisite of the right the left eye would be symbolic of sin, the tears would be symbolic of cleansing of those sins when your hands are being [ down away from you] used to help others, when your hands are brought to yourself the cleansing stops, this vision is what James teaches us in the Bible that faith without works is dead--your faith is seen in your works, or simply put conversion [ applying your faith to works], your dream is a lesson it might be good to reread James and let James speak to you.

I got a completely different perspective than millerod, whom I do not wish to disrespect, but I want to submit what I'm getting as well, and let you decide before the Lord which is correct, RubiesFire.....

I see the right side as the side of natural strength and the left as the side of spiritual strength. Natural (right-eyed?) "mercy and compassion" is really just empathy or a product of putting yourself in another person's shoes (extended self-pity). That is not what you have. You were weeping in the spirit (left eye), but not in the flesh. I believe that this is a spiritual gift of mercy and compassion from God. Spiritual gifts can be dammed up and stopped by the hand (will) of the gifted person, but unless we do something to stop them, they will flow. I think the Lord is teaching you this.....

Please talitha never be worried about disrespecting me i completly understand that the most important thing is that you are obident to God, with what He gives you as truth. this has been a good example of why that is so important. the message the same message given two different ways whith the same meaning, that being, To apply your gifts towards others through the Love of others = applying your faith through your works towards others through the Love of others.

Actually I felt a great lesson coming from both of the interpretations. I plan to use this to help me in Spirit and in strength.
