Spiritual Entities?

Has anyone seen or encountered a spiritual entity? I'm talking about beings like angels, demons, pricipalities, or even God Himself? If you have, what did they look like?

Just curious and intrigued.

Only in dreams, and at that I can't say that I honestly saw them or just wanted so badly to see them that they were there.

I have to echo Nikoel's comment. I've seen beings in my dreams that I felt were Angels, Demons and even Jesus himself--but in all honesty it looked like cheap special effects. I think it was just my imagination.

Seeing angels and demons is not as great a blessing as you might imagine. It comes with responsibility and some of these supernatural beings can literally strike fear into your heart.
However as long as you are right with God and walking in the Spirit then seeing demons is not really that scary because they know that they have no power over you. And in the right circumstances you have power over them by and through the blood of the Lamb!
The last time I saw a demon it was really weird becase it was at a church we were visiting- He was an ugly repressive spirit and he laughed at me and told me that he had permission to be there. Since I was just visiting he knew that I did not have the authority to toss him out on his ear. Very dark and disgusting creature who had a spcific purpose for being there and the leadership in that particular church left certain spiritual doors open which permitted him to remain there and do his work. Very very sad- but happens fairly often in modern churches
The angels on the other hand are so gloriously beautiful that it would be difficult to describe them in a few simple words. There are several different orders of angels and only a few of them are discussed in the Bible. We primarily hear about the Cherubim and there is some mention of the Seraphim too. Perhaps one of the most unusual orders of angels revealed in the holy Scriptures are the Ophanim. Ez 1:4, 15-18 The Ophanim have the appearance of wheels within wheels which are full of shining eyes. Seeing them is a magnificent treat because of their appearance and their work- it is quite awesome and spectacular. But perhaps even more wonderful is hearing the special worship music that they make continuously.

I remember one particular instance, where I had come to pick up a young lady to take her to church one morning, and the older sister came screaming out of the house as I pulled up. She was in full demonic rage and I was amazed that she did come to a screeching stop while still ranting and raging. With the vile life threatening threats whe was making, I was surprised that she stopped at all, and was expecting her to come flying in through the window of the car. I prayed and asked God why did she stop and then before my eyes I saw the two angels in front of the raging girl blocking her from coming any closer.

I know that they have been by my side looking after me, bringing me that which I needed at the moment of need. I know they have saved my life many times. To God gets all the glory for this He has provided.

As you can see, from those who posted so far, there are some doubters or unbelievers, but there are those of us who have experienced such "entities" and they can be fiercely terrible or very astoundingly beautiful and wonderful.

Once my step-son was concerned that his mom, being small and petite, could not ward off an attacker if one were to enter their home with evil intentions. He got up out of bed, when to his mom's room and there beside her was a very large, very beautiful and, for a small kid, very fierce in appearance, stood an angel with a very large sword standing guard over her. He was so astonished/frightened that he ran back to his bed and crawled deep into the covers.

In the "spirit" I have seen demons which appeared in the form of wolves with large very glowing red eyes.

I have seen the blackness and heaviness that come with demonic attacks. It is chilling to the bone and it took the Blood of Jesus as a reminder to me AND to them that they had no hold in my home. When I reminded them of this they fled like six ways to the wind. Gone. Poof, just like that.

I know of others who often are able to actually see (almost with the physical eyes) evil spirits, and even God's angels.

We are told that "many have entertained angels unawares" meaning that they did not recognize them when the angels were in their presence.

Well, I would have to say I have prayed many times that God would remove my "spiritual sight". I discern quite frequently demons and see them often. I have to say I have never seen such a disgusting sight in my life. Especially in deliverence, when the demons want to stay in "their territory" they can get quite nasty. THe sure fire way for me to know it is evil is the grossest sneer I have seen. Makes my hair stand stiff and my bones shake. It really does send fear through me. I am constantly reminding myself that by the blood I am free. I am free from the oppressor.

I was delivered the other day with help from my wife and it looked like a bug. A giant ant looking thing was clinging to my neck and I felt it hanging on, but as was said in earlier posts, they have no hope of staying if we get in the spirit, fear God, and have faith.

I have had visions of Jesus to a point, but as it says nobody can see the glory of God and live, but the visions I have had have been very intense indeed. The only thing is I really wish I didn't see as much of the evil as I do, but then again, God gave me this gift for a purpose so Praise God fo rthat. It is just hard to see the filth sometimes.

I remember years ago..when I had a horrible disdain regarding men in general. I started having this because at the time.. most all of my friends were having trouble in their marriages. My sister had been gang raped by a group of boys. And my mother had died.. and my father had abandoned his daughters. He had always been abusive to some extent anyway. So his abandonment shouldn't have been too surprising to me. I had such an awful view of men in general... that I honestly started wondering why God created them. And I was a Christian too!

One night I had a dream.. and a woman came to me in this dream. She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. She wasn't earthly beautiful. She was more than that... and I could see her very vividly. I believe she was an angel. She said one thing to me.. which was... "Men.. are the keepsake of God." Then I woke up.

All of the disdain and misguided thinking left me after that. It just wasn't there anymore. I even went on to forgive and love my father in spite of his behavior.

I have never seen a demon or angel, but there was one time I felt an overwhelming dread and feeling of evil trying to come through the window next to my bed while I slept. I dreamed (I think) I sat up at the edge of the bed and looked out the window. I didn't see a personage, but only a very shadowy darkness to the left side of the window. There is a street lamp just outside, and nothing that would have cast a shadow. I dreamed the window sash started to rattle, so I put my hand down on the bottom of the sash to keep it down. But I dreamed the double-hung window swung upward into the room, so I started punching at whatever it was coming in.
My wife woke me, cut and bleeding from punching through the window and the storm window. The next morning (after a trip to the hospital and 15 stitches) I found glass on the sidewalk, 30 feet from the house.
Although I did not see a form, I am convinced what I dreamed was a demonic presence.

I want to clarify something: I do not doubt or disbelieve that some can and do have this perception. I was only doubting and disbelieving that my own personal experiences were authentic. I was not criticizing other people's claims; I was just giving an honest accounting of my own experiences--or lack thereof.

Please don't assume that I don't believe in angels or demons, nor do I doubt those who have claimed to perceived them, simply because I do not claim to have perceived them.

I had numerous encounters when I was involved in the occult. I frequently participated in seances, summonings, etc. I've seen people run in terror from spiritual manifestations and I've personally channelled demons. Of course at the time, I didn't realize they were demons; I thought they were the spirits of dead people and they fed me just enough truth to keep me swallowing the lies mixed in with it.

I've also seen some quite potent demonic manifestations in churches that were operating out past the fringe of what can be reasonably justified by Scripture. It's pretty scary to be in a CHURCH and encounter beings that you've only met in Satanic rituals and they are the very ones causing the manifestations in this CHURCH.

Needless to say, I did not visit that church again.
